    Who are Kara and Nate?!
    Watch our documentary here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuFv4iF8wgg&t=1s

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment.

We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted 😉

So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.

Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this channel to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.

4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to 😉 Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time!

After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time international traveling! And now we are finding the best adventures the world has to offer 🙂

We are incredibly grateful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎 Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey!

    1. Kara and Nate l have never commented on your videos until now. I just want to say thank you for taking us on your adventures. You see I became sick in 2021 from COVID. I unfortunately lost my right leg. After being in a coma for two weeks I woke up with my life changed forever . I loved hiking and swimming just being able to walk with my granddaughter. I just wish I could get up and hold her hand and walk down the sidewalk. This is all I wish for, realizing this would never happen again was the biggest thing that made me cry . I couldn't share this with my grandbaby anymore. However my life is so different and I know I can't. I thank you because I feel that I am on these adventures with you. I miss being able to just go into our backyard. Thank you both for giving me hope. Especially when at one time I had none. I wish you guys the best of luck and thank you for taking me on this amazing adventure with you.

    2. You don't have to either or with D.C. and Annapolis. I'm guessing you are looking at the Great Alleghany Passage and the C&O and you should, they would be much, much more enjoyable ways to get from the mountains to the coast…but from D.C. there are also largely paved trails that also go out from D.C. to Annapolis which would only add 39 miles by way of the Washington/Baltimore and Annapolis Trail.

If you liked Katy, you would LOVE the Great Alleghany Passage. The C&O might be a bit rough with a three seater, but there are a number of parallel paved options.

    3. I love you guys! I've been so invested in these videos! You're all so wholesome and have such great attitudes–especially the kids! I would have been such a brat about this as a kid but they are taking it in stride AND doing school-work?! So so impressive!

KARA–where did you get that purple sweater dress that you wear once you get to the 10/10 campground with the nearby porta-potty and no one else in the parking lot? It looks cozy and warm and long enough to wear as just a dress and I NEED IT.

    4. 19:05 I love that you guys now “promote” eating Vegemite… haha that makes me giggle because of your first reaction 😂😵‍💫. I’m from Australia, and if you can get it you should so try cheesymite, as it’s cream cheese blended with Vegemite soooo good and put out by the Vegemite company 🇦🇺

    5. Anyone know what company their hoodies are ? Kara is wearing a purple hoodie dress I believe from the same company in this episode. They look so comfy and my husband wants one.

    6. Kara you think your leg hair is bad, that is nothing compared to mine lol😂 i don’t shave in winter, there’s no point for me personally. That’s just a personal preference for me, I just don’t need to in winter.

    7. I hope you guys realize that this distance you’ve traveled is more than the Tour de France …. The difference is probably the elevation that has to be covered going through the alps and it’s a race ! Great going ! You must invite some fans when you’re doing this again !
