Step into the former residence of Adolfo and Cecilia, but… watch your step. This property has languished in neglect, slowly succumbing to decay over time.
This Portuguese couple called this place home for countless years, raising their children within its walls. Adolfo, a doctor, and Cecilia, likely a skilled tailor, also cultivated acres of land around the house, generating some extra income with farming.
After Cecilia’s passing, Adolfo remained the sole inhabitant, the children having moved away decades earlier. When his health faltered, the house was left to its melancholic fate around 2009.
Now, nearly fifteen years later, the house offers apocalyptic scenes, with portions of the facade in ruins. Yet, within, the rooms remain eerily preserved, like snapshots in time.
Today, we explore this place before it crumbles, like a precarious Jenga tower, destined to be a chapter in history, forever frozen in the past.

It's 1am and I think I woke my neighbors laughing when you opened that fridge! 😂 "Definitely a spoiled woman." Quite frankly though, I'm "old". I am unmarried and own my own home. I am a retired Nurse Practitioner, I put two kids through doctorate degrees. (They ARE spoiled!) After I got over my laughter it made me think. I have a room full of clothes and each outfit has a pair of shoes to match. That's at least 50 pairs of shoes! AND what a brilliant idea to put expensive Italian leather shoes in a refrigerator to keep the humidity and temperature at an ideal preservation! A HUGE humidor! 😂 With that said, I found myself thinking maybe I should get rid of some. Nope, I'll let the next generation of explorer's get a good laugh! 😊
Honestly, I so enjoy your vlogs!

    2. I think the owner somehow lost his money and fell on hard times after his wife died; also, his daughter, who it looks like got married in the 1980's, would now be in her late sixties at the youngest. She may not have married a wealthy person, so who would have had the money to maintain this large building?

    3. I thought it was cool when u guys found the picture of the lady by the stove & comparing it to what it is now, it's sad to see all that stuff going to waste when other people could use it, especially the clothes!

    4. Hey dear Maureno and Remon from the fabulous urbex team Explomo. Again once more an absolutely excellent Urbex video from that huge house in Portugal. It was so fascinating to walk in mind together with you through these mostly still intact and non vandalized rooms with a true time capsule vibe. – But on the other hand I also couldn't help feeling the somehow melancolical and sad atmosphere of abandonment in these rooms. I loved your thoughtful reflections how the life was there back in the active days of that place, which was a home for living people! – I could see in the living room and in the dining room very beautifully carved furniture in the late 19th century style. When you opened the cabinets it was such a beautiful sight to see all that glittering glassware in perfect condition. Simply wonderful! – The huge master bedroom had furniture, which I think I could identify as art nouveau style. Also a lot of beautiful smaller antique items were visible. – And – oh dear – that room with the completely collapsed wall – and still that wonderful elaborate crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling!! Unbelievable! – Of course it was so very funny to see these shoes in one of the fridges. Considering the very tasteful stylish furniture and the refined decor as well as the pictures on the walls, I come to the conclusion, that these former owners were very highly educated and cultivated people.
Thank you for sharing this exceptional explore.
Stay safe, peace and kindest regards from Switzerland.

    5. Hola chicos !!

    6. His wife would have worked along side her husband. She could have been a doctor or even a lawyer. Those jackets were her work clothes or even her Sunday best for church and going out. As to the amount of shoes, shoes go either way outfits…

Inheritance tax is exhorbant hence the heirs not paying said taxes resulting in the decay and abandonment.

    7. This is truely a time piece that says a very happy love couple. Love all of it. Gentleman it looks like a tornado hit so unbelieveable the room is not taken too mother nature tells a tall tell here to just a wall .it is insane how the other rooms were not touched.when you thot id seen it all now this picture is worth a million bucks incredible . Take care and stay healthy for next explore? Love you Both your friend from Florida Barbara

    8. Very nice house they had there. There's some very valuable stuff in there still. But that will go down with the house. It looks like it won't take much more time for that house to collapse.

    9. Маурено и Ремон, спас ибо за интересное видео😊👍👏👏, привет из России 🇱🇺 С уважением к вам Надежда 😊
