Nice bimble Kieran enjoy it thanks for sharing
Nice Kieran, I can see Fiddlers Ferry from the Cheesden Valley above Bury.
Another great video, great hearing about the area's history and of things you see everyday and pay no mind to!
Another top Bimble Kieran ,
And as usual so informative .
Nice trip out Kieran. I really enjoyed seeing the smaller boats in their scruffy autumn/winter livery. And the remains of the old wooden craft sticking out of the mud were beautifully shot. You've whet my appetite for a long overdue ride along the River Trent towards the end of this week.
I reckon that lady's Patterdale at the very beginning wanted a piece of you! 😂
Super vid….memories of walking t mersey way back in 2022….great views and learnt even more ThanX

Carry on and you are on Chester Road
Brilliant again Kieran!
Cheers Kieran, top bimbling, as usual. I did do most of that ride myself but it was bone dry and dusty, so the pint at The Ferry was most welcome. 🙂 It will be a strange landscape when the power station goes, it seems to have been there for ever! Good luck for the next one. (Al Kennett)
On a clear day, Could see the steam from Fiddlers Ferry towers from the hills here in North East Wales.
Thought you might find this interesting….you mentioned the attempt to get the cooling towers of fiddlers ferry power station listed…we had a similar attempt here in Telford to do the same with the decommissioned Ironbridge power station. You see the cooling towers of the said power station were unique in that they were pink and not the usual concrete grey colour as normal. The story goes that the project architect climbed the local hill namely the Wrekin, to get an over view of the site and noticed that the local fields were prominently sandy coloured and so he stipulated that the concrete should be stained similarly so as to blend the towers into the landscape. Needless to say despite their uniqueness the listing was not granted and the site is now destined to a village sized development
