Develop your game more every year the same. You can easily Make the career more entertaining like f1 career mode of fifa career mode. You start as a rookie for a bad team and you get better by helping your team and eventually het a transfer to a big team.

I suggest making it first person and picking whether you are a climber or a sprinter or smth like that and then skipping to the intermediate climbs sprints and the finish like 5km out and having it be actual strategy instead of just basically watching it happen from above
