  1. Shit you don't do it by half do ya and your better off in a Euro hospital than home. Live and learn.
Last month I was in Italy & Switzerland – 35-40degrees most days under 50% humidity. I was drinking 750 – 1000ml every hr. Quite a few stops at gas stations or finding fountains. At 1st when emptying luke warm water over to cool down felt weird but once riding it still surprisingly helped cool down. I have discovered I ride much better in those temps than mid 20's w/ high humidity in Akl. Got to do some epic rides though in the mountains around Lombardy and down in the Tuscany areas. I also had my name and country flag on bike and my helmet in case local w/ out any english would see I dont speak Italian.

  2. Stink! We have plenty of water back here in NZ… it just keeps rolling out of the sky ( and across the roads and land if you’re in the South Island!)

  3. Crikey mate, that's super serious, glad you're ok. A mate of mine ended up in a coma and nearly died when riding in an event in France in similar heat. If you make it to the UK and you come to the Midlands I'll get you a beer!

  4. First question, why did you take a photo of your spew 🤔

Also in all seriousness, your lucky your still Alive. When you hit that level of heat stroke your body is going into shock and starts shutting down. Really hard to come back from. You are one lucky boy !!

  5. Glad you are alright bro. I decided to go for a run in aus when they where having a heat wave. Middle of the day, 42 degrees, felt like I was breathing into a hair dryer. 20mins and I was cooked. Can’t believe you kept going.

  6. ‘It was like a mild heatstroke that I got’ bro, that was a bit more than a ‘mild’ heatstroke 😂 Glad you’re all good now

  7. Oh no at least it wasn't a broken arm or something which would have ruined your trip. I've had mild heat stroke before in NZ after a big ride in the heat. Horrible. Yeah anything much over 30 is pretty tough to ride in. 40+ is insane! Glad you recovered alright.

  8. Even in the east coast of America you would have to be crazy to run/bike any time after 10am till 5pm its only like 85-90*F or 30*C

  9. Sounds like you got poisoned bro.

Ive ridden solo unsupported across Oz in the middle of summer no probs. I dont use any stims if the temp is over 30celcius and I always drink enough water so Im peeing clear every 2 hours and always carbing up so I avoid hunger.
