Under the new name FOPYUpcycle I bring to you today, a video showing you how I have altered some of my clothes following the weight I’ve lost over the last couple of years.

As regular viewers know I am keen not to be wasteful and get enormous satisfaction out of reusing things and /or clothing. A few things are beyond my capabilities but where I can I will reuse.

I am exposing myself a little in this video but I think it is important to be real with my viewers and show them that we aren’t all models LOL! I am obviously not a vain person, just a realistic one. 😉😉

I hope it gives you some inspiration to reuse some clothes in your wardrobe / closet.

    1. I add gores to everything I want to make bigger and darts to everything I want to make smaller. When sleeves are too long, I make big button/grommet holes for my thumbs. It might not be fashionable anymore but big cozy sweaters are supposed to be warm, not trendy! LOL!

    2. Thanks for the ideas and inspiration. You have very pretty clothes! In this day and age, buying new clothes is mostly out of the question so knowing how to make alterations is an essential skill!

    3. hi Jan just watched the video your looking fab with all the walking your doing it shows x well done .Thank you for the tips on altering clothes great its worth trying , especially as the fashion in shops just lately is not inspiring to me i should give it a go and get the dust off my sewing machine. I especially liked your panty liner top you make me giggle so funny Jan . really enjoyed watching thanks again take care .

    4. I'm still laughing my head off with 'panty liners', yes they do look like them too.😂 but its still lovely. I must admit I started making my own clothes in the 60's, see the latest mini dress in a shop window and go home and make it. I too have indoor clothes and going out clothes, we were brought up to put old clothes on when we got home as kids e.g. school uniforms. Make do and mend has helped me clothe myself and my kids and still look neat and tidy plus fashionable to my taste, which is still smart and elegant. I loved all the things you have altered, the neck lines especially have really worked well. Thank you Jan you have done a fantastic job, please don't put yourself down, you are a very clever lady with an eye for taste. 💕🇦🇺
