The Tour de France 2025 will begin in the northern french city of Lille and Jonas Vingegaard could be targeting the World Championships in Switzerland in 2024. While Wout van Aert and Tom Pidcock look to be skipping the 2024 Cyclocross World Championships in Tabor and GCN + to close down forever.

  1. GCN+ closing its doors is really sad and more expensive. Using a discount code on a yearly pass £34 jumping over to discovery+ is going to be £84.
I'm genuinely sad for everyone who has worked on GCN+ or anyone who has enjoyed the service. It felt like a bargain and now it feels like greedy capitalist have taken it away all for the bottom line.

  2. Okay, so at the '24 Tour stage with gravel at the end, why not have a sort of Le Mans line-up of gravel bikes for the riders to swap for their road bikes? And mandate 40mm tires for safety and consistency and let the fireworks begin. Same with stages with cobbles, bigger tires would be safer and it would be great promotion for gravel or adventure bikes.
