    I’m in trouble with EVE!



    I Hope it’s not the bearings, that would be a major issue and I would have to see a repair shop asap in Iran. But what else would it be? I was hoping i would stay out of motorcycle problems here because it’s all very difficult for me to manage because of the language barrier and organizing parts. Other than that, charging was a big deal today, popping fuses all the time! I guess now the real adventure begins, it’ll be alright🤙🏼

      It is really a mindset to travel on an electric motorcycle, let's face it: not many riders want to deal with the hassle of charging, especially when you have to lower down to 10A. Still, you're an inspiration to many 👍I hope that bearing issue is not too bad

      Hi, hoffentlich retten ein paar Tropfen Öl das Lager noch ein paar Kilometer. Aber klar ist, herauszufinden welches Lager man braucht, was zu tun ist und wie man die notwendigen Teile bekommt. Mein Freund hat sich seine Ersatzteile nach Lahore in Pakistan postlagernd schicken lassen von mir. (war nicht billig – ist aber auch nicht so um die Ecke). Das Lager selbst ist wahrscheinlich gar nicht so speziell… Viel Erfolg… VGvG

      Full power strip plugged into an extension cord? Sure you can fast charge off that…😮😅.

      fingers crossed for loose bolt instead of worn bearing…I just went and looked a vid of the drive bearing on a Zero. I don't know what model it was, but I really hope yours and all other Zeros now come with a better- sealed bearing there than circlip and one rubber cover.

      Thats exactly the reason why current electric motorcycles suck! Problem with this kind of bikes is that they are inneficient as f*. Now imagine the engine and the batterie of this bike in a really slick and streamlined Motorbike like the Hayabusa with the Bonneville fairing Kit from airtech…. That kind of bike would manage at least double the range what EVE is reaching, at even higher avarage speeds. By the way, im about to build exactly such a bike. Keep it up Marc.

      Since you are heading to New Zealand anyhow YouTuber https://www.youtube.com/@NewZeroland has had Zero bike and maybe able to give you contacts for help since it sounds like motor bearings there is always people right next to where ever you are that can help no matter the country your in anything can be adapted lol.

      Hi man, about the bearing it's wise to change it before it get worse and risking the rotor to hit the stator in the engine.
      I bet at a random mechanic it's fairly easy to change it. Good luck!

      Besuch sowie Städte wie möglich im Iran. Das ist nur einmal! Genieß es mein Lieber. Sag Bescheid, falls du nach Maschhad gehst und irgendwas brauchst. Maschhad ist meine Heimatstadt und kenne viele dort. Sonst geh unbedingt nach Shiraz und Tabriz falls du noch nicht dort warst. Wow auch Isfahan könnte dir gefallen. Außerdem iss das Traditionsessen von jeder Stadt. ✌️bleib gesund und nochmal viel spaß. Groß gehen raus (Berlin)

      Does sound like a bearing. A replacement motor (Zeros solution) requires dealer equipment to be commissioned with the controller onboard Eve. One option is to replace both motor and controller pre-setup. The other option is bearing replacement. It's likely only the front bearing as that's where the load, and dirt, are the greatest. It's possible, I replaced the front bearing on my 2016 SR about a year ago. There are no dealers here in NZ either 😢 if you ever make it here I'll buy you a beer, which you'll need if you attempt replacement! Reach out if you want the how to.
