    1. This was many years ago but being from the US ..tipping was very. Well let's say different. I never knew if I was offending somebody or making their day by leaving a gratuity.🤔

    2. As much as I love hearing about Ireland, I don’t think it would be a good idea for me to go visit. Just not a good idea. As to the sheep-jams. Go visit Yellowstone NP. You’ll see bison-jams, wolf-jams, bear-jams, elk-jams, moose-jams…

    3. I was lucky enough to visit Dublin and Northern Ireland November of 2019. I can attest to the water being great!! And that is saying something because my tap water is what the crystal geyser plant bottles to sell.

    4. In the 26 years I've lived in County Cork Ireland has become so tourist centric, it's "yea, we love you" but behind the scenes it''s 'we are going to effing fleece you'.

    5. You might have a better chance of running into the little people hiding in the forests of Ireland. Some locations are so magical you feel their ethereal presence in the still air.

    6. In the U.S., If the service is bad, you don't tip! That tells the wait staff something is wrong! If the service is average, you tip about 10 %. If you get good service, it's 15%-20%. So you don't HAVE TO tip! So it's up to THEM to EARN that tip!

    7. I remember one day in Chicagoland where we had a lot of snow in the morning and by the end of the day it was so warm people were walking about in T-shirts and shorts.

    8. As an Ardara resident I'm glad to hear to visited our little corner of the world, we're a small community that do look out for one another, everyone knows everyone and knows all that's going on whether that's a good or bad thing, I wouldn't have it any other way – full of different people, characters and traditions that make us what we are. We've lost many young people for decades through emigration but though they might be physically elsewhere, their heart still lies in their original home.

We still have a few that practice the act of 'weaving' which has been deep rooted in the area's tradition for centuries – a lot of the clothing is quite pricey but one of the main factors for that would be it has become a lot more rare than the factory/mass produced clothing that is made in the modern day 'fast fashion' society.

There's a lot of practices that were done in rural Ireland that would shock even a lot of Irish people, especially of younger generations, like mummers, wakes, Bazaars, old fair days and so on that have nearly faded away – I'm only 24 but know of this because I actively document the local culture and people for archival and entertainment purposes.

    9. I went thru a Taco Bell Drive-thru yesterday, and the person, on the speaker, asked if i wanted to “round-up the total, for the students”-Im getting Fast Food…IN A Drive-Thru!

    10. As a Northern Ohio American, half Greek, half Irish and English wedding Dj bloke I approve of the "Don't be an obnoxious showboating fool part, we are a modest People don't like that here either. Well then again idk. Maybe some people do. 😂 Opa!!! Slàinte Mhaith! Cheers!
While shattering plates and balancing tables and drunk on Beefeater and Guinness 😂😂

    11. Tipping in the U.S. used to be based on service. Up until they came up with the tipped wage nonsense. I remember reading about a waitress who sent her paystub to the Reagan administration because she worked in a small diner and all of her wages had been taken as supposed "tips". Tips used to be a way of getting ahead, not a way for the company to screw over their workers by not paying them properly.

    12. 0:01 No tipping?

      SWEET!!

      I'm not a cheapskate, but…
Not having to pay the wages of someone else's employee, well…
That appeals to me on a couple of levels.🤔😀

    13. 5:00 Oh! You might know what i need to know:

I just received, two days ago, my genuine Donegal sweater from Amazon…😀

Seriously, though, I do have a legitimate question about these sweaters:
Are they Supposed to smell like unwashed sheep butts when they're new?
      Seriously.

I'm guessing the smell is to do with the fact that wool comes from an animal…lol

But; Am I supposed to wash it before I wear it, like I do with my other new clothes?

Or is this one of those things where I should avoid cleaning it as much as possible, and, even then, to do so gently?

      Any insight will be appreciated…lol

PS: Stuff like this is why I have forbidden myself from doing my clothes shopping unless I have a female opinion on hand.

      I've learned that lesson…😆

Well, stuff like this, along with a lifelong inability to give even one tiny bit of a damn about what other people think is "cool"… or "hot" …or wtvr the current buzzword is…

It seems I'm a bit off the topic; I apologize, Young Lady.

I just figured that if anyone might know about the proper care of an Irish wool sweater…lol (There were no hints or clues in the literal booklet that was attached to my sweater, either. I would think that if you have a doggone miniseries-in-print attached to the item, maybe you could include one line about initial care:
We realize that your expensive sweater has the lingering stench of unwashed sheep buttocks, but don't worry about this. It's natural…
      Or Something…lol)

      I liked your video, too, btw…lol 😆
