    2. A very busy area. From here many moved on to Britain. There was also heavy Wendish pressure upon this region, which sparked a major reaction and push back.

    3. These chapters on European historical regions are incredibly useful to make you realize in perspective how truly underdeveloped Northern Europe was at the time compared to the South and the West. Never met a historian that actually has such comprehensively and diachronically as clear-cut as brutal vision of objective history

    4. I love how when it gets to Northern European regional history it's just landscapes 😀 The more I get into Medieval history and the more I realized how disproportionately overly-represented the North is in pop culture in relation to civilization accomplishment

    5. What do you think about the Olgierdige? Archaeological evidence suggests that the Angles inhabited Schleswig only up to the Olgierdige, bordering the Warren or Jute tribe. Some believe the Jutes were a confederation of multiple tribes that emerged near the migration period. It's said that around 279 AD, the Angles pushed the Warren/Jute 12 km north to Vendersvold, yet this still only constitute the middle of Schleswig. Thoughts?
