  1. The Santa Cruz Heckler among others also started as a non e-bike. The first seven were non electric. Brands do seem to bring back old model names in some form or another.

  2. I must be mistaken but i could have sworn i heard the "E" word. Yeah i was probably just hearing things.
E bike infestation is getting really bad these days. They need to make a vaccine for that.
Edit: oh yeah only time will tell so keepemcoming.

  3. #askgmbntech – I currently ride a polygon siskiu D series (120mm front and back). After a fair bit of testing about what i like the feel of, I run about 15% sag at the front and 25% rear. I use about 80% of the rear travel and around 55-60% front on my somewhat rough local loop (Jumps up to about 1.5m and drops no more than 1m). I think it feels great – maybe because the rougher it gets the slacker the head angle gets? A lot of guides recomend having "balanced" travel so that a similar amount between front and rear is used for most rides. Is it a problem that my suspension setup is not "balanced"?

  4. DH World Cup Bikes from Orange were the 222, 223, 224, 322, 324, 327 and currently the 329.
But I'm not familiar with downhill in the World Cup on a Patriot

  5. The Orange only "identifies". as a patriot.
In terms of travel adjust, I miss the old U-turn on Rockshox. I had it on a couple of forks and used it all the time

  6. #ASKGMBTECH, I was given a Suunto watch as a pressie, so I got the bike sensor for it. I can't get it to fit my Rockhopper! I have two problems 1. The sensor will not fit in position on the pedal because there is not enough clearance. 2. Fitted to my chainstay the wheel magnet is to far away from the body of the sensor. Can you think of away round this? Thanks Nigel

  7. #askgmbntech – I have just bought and installed a dropper post. but unfortunately it is a few millimeters short. I am about 40mm past the minimum insertion mark. How do I know if this is still safe for my frame or my post? thanks?

  8. #askGMBNtech, my brakes on my Trek Xcaliber squeel like hell, they don’t have much stopping power. They have been cleaned with brake cleaner, the pads have been lightly sanded so the glassing was gone and then back bedded in, no good result😢. They are of the ressin type. Will it be better when I put sintered pads in with my rotors or do they also needs to change? Any advice is welcome grtz

  9. I think the more the bike industry pushes to electrify & automate bikes, the more it's going to push a whole segment of people to simpler bikes, such as basic hard tails, rigids, single speeds, etc.

  10. Klein Bikes – my first full suspension was a Klein Mantra, lots of suspension (once updated), uphill it was a monster, climbed like a mountain goat, though downhill was sketchy – but was a lot of fun (that's what is fun right?). Still have it with it's 26 inch wheels.

  11. I owned a square framed Pace back in the early 2000's and loved it. Is there a reason GMBN Tech have never visited them tup'north to see their bikes? I'd love to see that, bespoke steel craftsmanship at it's best, and they're British! What's not to like?

  12. The welds on that Orange are absolutely catastrophic! It’s quite simply a piss take to charge those kind of prices with welds that look like they’ve been done by some random guy in his garage two weeks after he started welding.
