    1. I was already saying that at the 2023, Jumbo needs to break out so we can have the top GC race against each other vs all be on one team. 2024 should be hell out of fun for us fans:)

    2. Exceptional commentary, Chris. I have my Chesterfield reserved for June 29. It should be all warmed up because I am planning to watch the Giro, too! Thanks again!

    3. Why do they keep on adding gravel sections to grand tours?? Makes no sense as it can cause the best riders to lose in the GC. I guess sponsors pushing it hoping to sell more gravel bikes to roadies.

    4. bora riders are individually and repectively great and solid but that can not directly translate itself into a great GT team and great domestique teamworking; i guess that's the biggest concern as we evaluate the possibility of Roglic winning the Tour. These talented gc-oriented riders have never seriously worked as superdomestiques to support an only one leader. They are not well glued and organized to the depth of Jumbo-Visma, the tactic deployment and planning from the commanding rank is also a step or two behind the greatest GC teams. I guess they need a lot of hardwork, solidarity and lucks to win the Tour.

    5. Sounds exciting. Hope we have all 4 top dogs lined up and healthy. I guess gone are the days when a rider attempts all GTs equally? Giro posted their route on their website and it starts with the bang, 2 long TTs and usual brutal last week with Stelvio. If I am DF for Bora no Giro for Hindley. We need an excellent climber who on certain days is better than Rogla with him in France if they are serious about going for TdF. Even Higuita and Kamna…hell many climbers and a few diesel engines for flats.

    6. I really miss the prologue! Especially with four top guys, that would set the drama up so nicely. Maybe we'll see it again some day.

    7. Primož is a family man, he is nice good man who never give up and hi is the ultimate profecional.Primož will be fine with Jonas,Sepp,WVA, all Jumbo friends. His character is not thete tipe.,not Remco. In the peleton you will see Primož talk ,joking with the Jumbo, so nothing to watch ,stil friends.
Primož in 8 years made from mediocre team,to the best team today with having the most🥇🏆from Primož .
He always fight back after crash, bad luck, injurys. He cras out 2x as a TDF favorite and one TDF lose vs his friend Pogi, who nobody belive he can win and specialy in TT which wos his brad batter. Primož after all those setdowns, he go and win Olimpic TT with more then a min+ to the second place. Win 2 more Vuelta after crash out in TDF.

    8. If both Vingegaard, Rog and Pog (and Remco) race in the TdF, that means the Giro and Vuelta are up for graps. In these times spinning the Tour and Esther of the other two is sooo difficult. I can easily see one of these four abandon the Tour early if they feel the tour is unwinable and just go for the Vuelta.

    9. I'd love to see Sepp given his head on Stage 2, get into a break, and blow the TdF open early 😎😎
JV's still got the most horses in its stable.

    10. Personally I really hate it when they throw gravel (or even cobbles) into grand tours. Is this road cycling or cyclocross? Yeah, it makes it more exciting, but it's not really the same sport. Just my personal feeling.

    11. Cool that you are hosting a couple of live events, Chris, one of my favorite gatherings was in '83, a one-day seminar with Eddie B. and Dr. Burke sharing stories and training methods and even a slide show, the days. And re Primoz, six million millie million and team leadership has surely eased any tensions with anyone at his old job. 😀

    12. Hi Cris.
We need a video about the UCI points, now that we Know UAE finished 2023 as "the Best team".
I think this system does not reflect the real domination of a team.

    13. HIguita didn't seem to click with Bora. He is probably better be staying with EF. Vlasov, I'm not sure if he wants to play Superdomestic for Roglic. But he can be the Kuss for Roglic at Bora.

Chris, you are great at creating "controversy rumors" about Roglic & Jonas… LOL🤣🤣, I read Primoz's latest interview a week ago, that he already thought about leaving JV at the beginning of the 2023 season I guess he might have seen the writing on the wall. Once JV won the elusive TDF not with him, but with another rider, he knew that he wouldn't be guaranteed to line up for the Tour. And the fact they didn't bring him to the 2023 Tour (I saw his interview at the JV celebration after his Giro win, he was asked if he would be on the Tour team. His answer was maybe, I don't know. But his head performance, flat-out said No).

Well, I really hope he can win the Tour, even though on paper it would be impossible. But you never say never. Jonas can crash, ill, or whatever. I just hope next year the stars line up for him. 2020 the stars lined up for him, but he didn't manage to finish it off. If he won TDF in 2020, he might be staying at JV now. Maybe? who knows.

    14. So CW has it that Bora has to up its game if they want The Big Prize – win the Tour de France. Apart from acquiring one or more super domestiques (are they calling Sepp Kuss yet?), the best move they could make is hire Chris Horner as DS.

    15. Yes! I was going to the Olympics and was only going to do the last days of the TDF in the Nice/Monaco region.

Now that Roglic has switched teams, 2024 TDF will be epic! I've decided to change my travel plans and will start my trip 2 weeks earlier (mid-July to mid-Aug) – I will wait for the formal route announcement but I'm doing it!

I also have plans to ride Alpe d'Huez in between the TDF and the Olympics. Really looking forward to this iconic climb and I'll be training hard. 😖

    16. someone needed to move on, they had to many GC on the same team, Premo gets hurt a lot, and he is not as strong as Jonas.

    17. First and foremost, I will be rooting for Roga to win it. I guess it's because it will probably be his last chance and also because I think Bora-Hansgrohe will throw 100% behind him to do it. Of course, this will all depend on his ability to be single-minded in training for this particular beast of a TDF course and not becoming involved in any crashes or getting injured – although that also applies to the other contenders. I believe he can develop that bit of extra power and stamina to do it.

    18. Bora can't send ALL their GC contenders to the Tour. Jai Hindey will probably be a lot happier competing in the Giro anyway. Vlasov, Higuita, Martinez and perhaps even Cian U in a learning role should be more than enough. Too many climbers will also be problematic on the flatter stages.
