This is the sort of video I wanted to make last week showcasing my surroundings in a beautiful winter wonderland. But I guess the snow came a week to late. But now it’s finally here and in this video I’ll take you along some remote roads and eventually end up at a familiar place when I enjoy a nice hot chocolate while celebrating the new year.

  1. Wowsers! Happy Spinning Around The Sun for another New Year. Greetings from the great white north of Canada. The boreal forest precambrian shield of Northern Saskatchewan is a wonderful place to enjoy winter cycling.

  2. Wow! Thank you Mike. Such a beautiful and peaceful place. 😊 Wishing you all the best to you and your family in the New Year all the way from Vancouver Island, Canada!

  3. Thank you very much Mike. Happy new year! I have a suggestion for you. Inspired by the beautiful trail you showed at the end of the video.Peoples do this in America already, and maybe you do as well. Grooming the trails like X country skiing but for bikes to ride on. on fat bikes, Ebikes….Fun for everyone. Salut!

  4. Happy new years Mike and thanks for sharing that beautifully crafted short 🎥…(tough o.t 🏒 loss… hope to see you guys in the finals.Stay safe out there Mike!

  5. Just wanted to let you know, Mike. You have inspired me to start making videos of my adventures, but not at your standard 🤪. But it’s fun, and thank you. Keep up the great trips, when we can.

  6. Great video and a Happy New Year to you Mike!
Of all the cyclists that could actually do with a fat bike it is you! You could ride all those snow trails, the big tyres would just ride on top of the snow well not sink in so much, and grip would be phenomenal, something like 45NRTH studded snow tyres such as Dillinger 5s.

  7. This video is great! . You are doing well on your video you-tubing. The bad thing is that now there are a whole bunch of places in Sweden and Norway I want to bicycle and it's so far far away! Cheers!

  8. Love this video. The winter scenes with the snow bring back fond memories for me growing up in the North (USA). We had lots of snow in the winter with a number of ski slopes within an hour drive. The closest one being only 4 miles / 6.4 Kilometers away.
