In this video we take a train journey through France. We discover the largest model train layout of France, namely the beautiful miniature world called “Mini World Lyon”. Mini World Lyon was opened in 2016. The model railway layout has been built in 1/87 scale and is divided into three sections: City Life (“Ville”), Country Life (“Campagne”) and Mountain World (“Montagne”).

The section City Life represents the city of Lyon, its famous buildings, its road and its rail traffic. The two rivers Saône and Rhône, which surround the city of Lyon, are also rebuilt in the model world and are used to separate the other two sections. The section Country Life depicts everything we imagine about life in the countryside, such as farms, vineyards, railroad branch lines, and farmers tilling their fields. This section is contrasted with the section Mountain World, which represents, among other things, ski slopes and cable cars in the Alps, mountain routes of the famous bicycle racing “Tour de France”, snow-covered mountain villages, and narrow-gauge railroads in the border region between France and Switzerland.

These three magnificent model railroad layouts consist of over 1,000 buildings, 40,000 model trees, 6,000 vehicles, of which about 200 automatically drive around on the model roads and streets, 150 model trains, and two kilometers of HO scale track. More than 30,000 LED and over 200 kilometers of electric cables provide a dreamlike day and night illumination. Just as Miniatur Wunderland in Germany is the biggest tourist attraction in the city of Hamburg, Mini World Lyon is growing to become one of the biggest tourist attractions in France.

    1. Ho avuto modo di vedere il video, vi faccio i complimenti per il modello, è fantastico. Dall'Italia un saluto e, la volontà che possa diventare importante come il Modellbahnwelt di Amburgo. Buon lavoro. Bravi.

    2. ❤❤❤ et pourquoi pas faire aussi circuler des locos vapeur fin de l'époque de la vapeur (1965-75) just to leave a memory for young people 😉

    3. Good job! Interesting landscapes. And I loved that the camera didn't show the whole long tunnel, but panned to another shot beyond the tunnel!👏👍🚅🚉

    4. … but thats H0 or smaller, …

everybody speaks about Problems, jerky run-up, shaky wagons,

no scaleconform tracks, wagons and locos are not in quality scale,

there are people, who lay tracks in multiple floors,

they drive, brake or accelerate too fast, and there are unnaturally much tracks.

    5. That video is probably the most relaxing Pilentum presentations I've seen. Great layout. I like the dark ceilings and the mountain graphics. You have come a long way from the focus and depth of field annoyances of your early presentations. Vielen Dank meine Eisenbahn Freunde.
