Sarah believes that homelessness is a preventable problem, and it starts with preventing youth homelessness. In her talk she challenges perceptions of what homelessness is and what our paradigms around it are. She’ll suggest the core of the solution lies in communication and avoiding the downward spiral of breakdown of family relationships between parents and their young people. Her talk aims to raise awareness of youth homelessness, and the value of building empathy through education and understanding.

Sarah has always been passionate about supporting others, and whilst studying Philosophy at the University of Sheffield, became involved in her first homelessness charity. After graduating she wished to continue that work and joined a local Hertfordshire charity. Such an important topic to raise awareness about.
Such an important message – to listen to each other more and hopefully spot when someone needs help.
I’ve been imagining homelessness the wrong way for years.
Well done Sarah, amazing talk! 🎉
Absolutely brilliant Sarah, well done. You are a consummate public speaker. Was quite surprized how much I learned about this troubling problem.
Sadly this seems to be much more common than I thought. Listening is so important. Def food for thought
I learnt so much from this talk and feel empowered to do a much better job of listening and observing.
We must stop homelessness early, the focus on youth homeless and particularly stopping it from even happening in the first instance is such a good idea/ focus.
Well done Sarah! That was such a great talk on such an important topic!
Eye opening stuff
Hearing such impactful and important truth is so refreshing. Feels like we can all get involved and make a difference, we can all, by talking, stop problems thriving in silence! Amazing Sarah 😀🙏
