    1. I'm not sure the support channel is working .I sent something .it never asked for a card # does it come off Google account?

    2. I love this video and your approach to travel. "get off the main road and see where it takes you." We were in Greece in 2006 and loved it. The free standing bell towers mean something. I'm not sure if I remember correctly but three bells might represent the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. If you go to Mykonos I think you might like the day trip to an island called Delos. It is uninhabited and is an archeological site. The guided tour was fascinating. And you can only get to Delos when the sea conditions allow it. We were so lucky. We were only in Mykonos for 3 days and one day there were no tours due to sea conditions. Then on the second day there were tours as the sea conditions improved. So we went and thoroughly enjoyed it.

    3. Greeks are very much into their religion. It was quite typical, back in the day, for each house in a village, to have its own church. A lot of the houses are no longer around, but upkeep of churches in Greece was always a priority. This is why you find many of these small churches scattered around in isolated areas.

    4. churches in islands that are remote are done to get protection from pirates.and some piece of info, the name santorini was stuck from venetians due to a small church of saint irina(eirini) which was by the sea. so santa irina through the ages became santorini.the actual name of the island is thira

    5. Will be in the Greek Islands this May. Would like to take a bike with me, but not too keen on riding uphill… Looks like a great way to see the islands though.

    6. Yes, You are right: The village You start from is not Perissa, but Emborio/Emboreio/Emporeio , close to Perissa.  Emborio is a genuine greek village where most af the permanent locals live, it has around 2000 inhabitants. The hill with the eight windmills is Gavrilos.
