In this video I travel by bus from Sargans, Switzerland to Vaduz, the capital of the tiny and little known country of Liechtenstein, in a beautiful valley in the Alps between Switzerland and Austria.

    1. I can just imagine quite a few people will be crossing the border into Austria to do their weekly grocery haul to save some money. I know the Swiss do this already for those that live on the border. It does make sense though.

    2. Beautiful scenery I went there years ago unfortunately have not been back I remember you could buy a stamp for your passport in Vaduz not sure if u still can

    3. Nice tour of Vaduz! The walkways with the vineyards reminds me of Luxembourg. Vaduz is such a tough place to get to as it is out of the way and maybe they like to keep it that way. San Marino for a similar day trip is very worth it! Frequent buses from Rimini train station. Rimini might be nice for a night or two in summer as it is a beach resort town. But you could be based in Bologna and go to San Marino for a day trip with an early start.

    4. When you count the countries you’ve been to, do you count a country that you’re just in the airport for a layover? Because I’ve been to a handful of countries for layovers, but don’t count them as “visited,” even though I’m technically in the country.

    5. If Switzerland Is Growing Grapes And We Know For What, Why Are They Shutting Down All The Cattle Farms, We Know They Are Doing This And Don't Like This Country At All!

    6. Gabriel you should consider the city of Graz when visiting Austria. It is a beautiful preserved old city which was not bombed during the war because it was not considered important. Graz is a 12th century town an UNESCO's World Heritage Site. The author Leopold von Sacher-Masoch whose name masochism was derived due to this writings, attended the University of Graz. Masochism was coined by his contemporary, the Austrian psychiatrist Richard von Krafft-Ebing. In Graz, there are beautiful castles and other extraordinary sites to visit. A must see is the glass bridge created by the late New York artist Vito Acconci.

    7. Hi Gabriel, love your videos. I'm pretty sure I've been one of your subscribers from the early years. At the end of your videos most of the time it's you grabbing a bite to eat while editing. My question is what program do you use to edit your videos? Oh yeah I'm from the bay area. I use to go to blondies on telegraph to lol.

    8. Why didnt you rent a car? You spent 100 euros on accomodation, plus 20 or so euros on the bus. If I were you I would stayed in Germany, drove a few hours to Lichtenstein and still it would have been cheaper.

    9. Very cool. Liechtenstein was for me a country occupying a space in my mind no bigger than a single word. Knew it was very small, and nothing else. Just a European anomaly. Seeing how beautiful it is really adds volume to one's appreciation. Thanks Gabriel!

    10. Nice video Gabe, looks like the rain finally caught up with you. Send some to Greece with all these bushfires here we really need it. Safe travels mate. 😃👍. Well I don’t know Gabriel, you making a video inside a Russian Goulag (prison camp) might be a winner lol. 😂

    11. I can recommend to visit slovakia, specially the high tatra region and the border region to poland, i liked it very much (beautiful landscape).

    12. So lichtenstein is country number 89. How many U.S. states and territories you have visited? I have seen you in a few (Hawaii, Alaska, California, Oregon, Florida, New York, Nevada, Idaho, Utah, Virgin Islands) in the last 5 years. Are you want to visit some of the states nobody knows anything about like Arkansas or Vermont. (How many americans can find Arkansas on a map?)

When is switched throuh your old videos i recognized that the video with cities in ucraine have very high numbers of views. The first video about Lviv has 695.000 views. Can you maybe tell us about the video and the visitors? How did the war impact the number of viewers and from which countries are the viewers. Maybe the people are looking for some independent infomation about cities and countries they heard somehing in the news. This is interesting about your videos and have you seen anything simular in other videos. So one moldova video has also nearly 500.000 views and moldova was also often in the news because they are very close to ucraine. Or was the title with "the least visited country in europe" the perfect title?

    13. I wonder if certain countries were created by larger countries/empires for political reasons which are no longer relevant, without acquiring much of an independent cultural identity. Sorry, Liechtensteiners. A card that fell from the Austrian Empire's deck as it shuffled around a bit? Or, was there an identity there already asking to be let loose? Same question to Monaco and San Marino.

    14. I love how you document your travel history. I do the same in a small moleskin notebook (I also include UNESCO World Heritage Sites and inspirational travel quotes). I was wondering how do you keep track and avoid double counting?

    15. Hi Gabriel. I wanted to use a clip from your leichtenstien video in one of my videos. It's briefly shows the castle under renovation. I hope it's ok. I will mute the audio and blur your face. Thank you for all the content. If it's not cool just let me know or strike the video and I'll take it down. Peace my brother

    16. Liechtenstein looks like a lovely country, Gabriel. I would want to go back when the castle is restored. Looking forward to your trip to Austria 👍🙂

    17. Ukraine started the war (November 24th 2013). Then Ukraine invaded the Donbas (2014) before Russia ever arrived. Ukraine did this to ethnic cleanse its own people with Kyiv – government backed, neo-nazis (Azov). Just say the truth and then you can go to Russia!

    18. Looks like you left Greece at the right time. Poor souls are having a terrible time. Enjoyed todays travels but so expensive. I think it always has been. When i was young i had a pen pal from Liechtenstein but we lost touch after a couple of years. thanks for sharing your interesting travels Gabrielle as always:)

    19. Strongly suggest that you don’t go to Russia, mainly for your own safety. Even when Putin goes, I think travelling as an American there, could be risky!

    20. well, this is just a beautiful city, the shape of the building is beautiful, lots of trees and plants that look well cared for and the road construction is also good and beautiful

    21. I have been to Liechtenstein a few times. Exactly the same experience as you. Always felt there was more to see I hadn’t found. Glad to have made it there but just had that feeling of what have I missed that I should have seen but couldn’t find.
      Enjoyed your video. Thanks.

    22. Looks like a cute little country. Very serene. It reminds me of the settings in several of the Disney movies- or fairy tails- castle on the hill, town below.
