It is a rule to always give space to a faster vehicle. But only on the no speed limit stretch (the entire autobahn is not limitless). Otherwise the cops would follow

Rule number 1 if you want to drive fast, fill your tank completely, not 3/4! Trust me, there is nothing worse than: a free autobahn and a controlled consumption because your tank is getting empty!
