Our plan to head straight through Belgium into France changed rapidly when we met a local guy in De Beemden. In his opinion it would be a shame to miss Namur as we would be driving right past it anyway. In this video we show a bit of wat motorhome travel in Belgium is like and we visit Namur, the capital of the Wallonia region.

    1. Can't wait for Dinard. Stayed there for 10days 46 years ago, all my photos got paper-maché-ed in a geyser leak, but I believe I still have a pretty good picture in my mind files of how it looked. Special place in my heart.

    2. Well deserved 10k 🎉 you got a
24 year old black guys watching your videos grinning from ear to ear your vibe is just infectious and can make any bad mood fade into the background. Thank you for showing all of us how enjoyable life can be 🙏🏽

    3. Love the places you go to and am hoping to do this myself, how much approx is European breakdown, do you get health insurance and do you notice parking discount for disabled travellers, subscribers now at 10.2k 👏

    4. Another great video guys 😊
We are enjoying our Patreon perks too 👍
We drove down through France to northern Spain last month. Back in the UK for a while, then off to Galicia and Portugal in January. You never know, maybe our paths will cross one day 😊 Alex & Gary

    5. That was great guys. I needed some cheering up after Ireland getting knocked out of the Rugby World Cup, so this was just the tonic. Lisa looks great on her new bike. I'm curious, do you find that now that you have two E-bikes that you are consuming much more electric ? do you need to pay for stops with charging more now or does your solar panels cope. That cycleway looks great, very like the greenway that I use here in Ireland. Its so nice not to have to compete with cars and the like, I went for a 60km cycle with my brother on Saturday on the country roads and twice idiot car drivers flew by us too fast and too close for comfort. I miss the Belgian frites, they are so good. I've never been to Namur but after this hopefully we can visit some time in the future.
Lisa is going to turn in to a Waffle !
(Nearly forgot, congrats on hitting the 10K Milestone ! 10.2 as I write this, onwards and upwards….)

    6. Guys, as you are heading to Normandy, some recommendations (for what its worth).
      – If you have an interest in history, especially WW2, I'd suggest that you visit Sainte-Mère-Eglise. Its got a nice small museum and maybe just maybe you can get a glimpse of the paratrooper on the steeple…(read up on it). Its very close to Bayeux where the tapestry resides, although we didn't get to see it.
      – We happened by accident on the coastal town of Saint Nazaire. Once again, if you like WW2 history you will find it interesting. Its a strange town, cos its so un-French like. All of the streets are NS and EW like in the US, its only when you learn about the history of the town that you realise why, lets just say that the Allies dropped just a few bombs there during the war. The Nazi submarine bunkers are massive and there is a good nautical museum also. They made a lot of the largest ships ever produced there, I think the QE2 was made there. If you can find the small museum where the German soldiers used to party its kind of cool. A respite from the constant bombardment of the Submarine bunkers and town during the war.
      – I found St.Michel very under-whelming. To be honest, for me its just one of those sites that you want to see so that you can say you saw it. Its very touristy, way over priced and….. not that impressive if I'm being honest. And there is very little of interest near it.
      – Rennes (sorry, that's in Brittany) is an interesting town. Its quite old and kind of run down, loads of students and when we were there there was a constant aroma of herbs in the air no matter where you went. Its very Bohemian with regards the bars and cafes. That was our experience anyway.
      – We stayed in Rouen, which is only a short distance from all of the WW2 beaches. You will love the beaches, you can cycle for probably 10/20km along the beaches on a very safe cycleway. We did it with the kids when they were young, no cars.
      Safe travelling.

    7. It looks great round that way, I can't wait for your France adventure, I hope to go there end of January and head to the south, it's winter in the UK as far as I'm concerned, I wish I was there now. 😩😁😁😁👍👍👍

    8. Congratulations!! This is my favourite channel and i am happy everytime you post a video. So looking forward to following in your footsteps. Only hope we can be as upbeat and relaxed as you both!

    9. Hey guys

I’ve been following for quite a while now. Your vlog is one of my favorites and I wanna thank you for sharing your adventures. I was in shock to see you cycling to Namur. I do this trail all the time as I live very near. If I had known I could have proposed some very cool places to camp. You’ve probably passed one of the “darkest” places. No light pollution at all. On nights without clouds you have a fantastic virus of the Milky Way
I have finally installed Instagram so I’ll be able to stay updated on the whereabouts of the people I follow. I also sent you a request on Polarsteps. I’m approaching retirement and I’ll be traveling in a motor home too. Hope you will allow me to let me join there too.
Anyway… wanna thank you again for all the effort you do to let us join you on your travels!

    10. Beautiful weather there in Belgium 😊 home to very good Beer n Chocolate 🍫 … French fryes with Mayo n Tomato sauce mixed .. 😊
Stay Free and Safe Travels 😀 🙏

    11. If you're still near Dinant, you should visit the charming village of Waulsort with its abbey and its pretty little harbour. You can take a "rowing boat" from the village to the cute small port (or vice versa). And after, climb to the very top of the cliffs for a fantastic view of the Meuse😉

    12. Congrats on the 10K subscribers! So well deserved with the great content. Best travel channel by far. Look forward to seeing the journey south from here. Safe travels and thanks again!

    13. Another great film guys. Nicky feels your pain Andre, glasses on, glasses off……. Namur looks fabulous and stunning park up despite being spoiled in the morning. And the drone footage in this film is particularly lovely. As ever, thank you for sharing your journey, it's always a joy to watch. Happy travels K & N x

    14. Hello. I’m enjoying watching your videos. I plan to fly to Europe on day and campervan solo with dog . I wanted to ask you if you had an opinion of a camper van / rv that’s smaller but nice layout like yours . I have the roadtrek here that I can still park in normal spaces because it’s 5.1 meters 17 ft. I am looking at the Romahomes from 2007 era but they have steering wheel on wrong side for me . Anyway just thought I would ask your opinion on a cheaper used choice that’s reliable and economical and perhaps which country you recommend to buy out of . One guy does this for your and helps with paperwork but charges 3 k . I’m gonna see if I can do this myself . Cheers
