During their walk down memory lane, the group touches on the back story behind the famous ‘The Look’ on Alpe d’Huez at the 2001 Tour de France, the 2003 Tour de France when Jan put 1’36 into Lance in the first individual time trial, and Lance cracked on the Tourmalet, before coming back with an amazing ride on Luz Ardiden after his crash, where Jan made the decision to wait for Lance and allowed him to catch up, the different media pressure each superstar received in their respective home countries and how the intense glare in Germany has affected Jan. Before they go, they revisit Jan’s appearance, and speech at the Discovery Team’s 2005 Tour de France Celebration Dinner.

    1. Its very nice to see and watch Lance and Jan talk about inside thoughts about those races , the rivalries they encountered . I really feel that it is Jan the reason why Lance become very famous . I still watch the Tour de France until now , but the time of Armstrong and Ulrich is the time I can never forget and until now I still watch the videos of their races at you tube…

    2. It was also a time of doping from start till the end everything in between. They agreed not to talk about this know. Missed chance and therefore hypocritical. They are sitting and laughing now, but let's not forget they damaged the sport for years…

    3. Im amazed at these comments !!! These guys were both cheats !! I get it they all were but the teams???
These guys still cashing in thru their infamy!! Lance is a dirty word here in the usa because he was such a hero It was as if we were stabbed in the heart!!!

    4. This is one of the best shows you guys have done. It was because of Lance and Jan that I really got super enthusiastic about riding. I was 37 at the time. Thanks guys.

    5. These guys have destroyed so many lives, and even almost destroyed cycling as a popular sport (the Tour for example wasn't shown on German TV for many years as a consequence of the doping scandals). Let's treat these guys as the lying, cheating narcissist scumbags that they are, not as heroes in any capacity. Still an interesting interview though

    6. One of my favourite videos from YouTube EVER! I watched almost the TdFs from 1987-2013 so great to catch up with my heroes after all this time. ❤❤❤ (I think I missed 1993-97).

    7. Jan and Lance made cycling what it is today. They popularised it and helped it grow in many ways. You guys are the best!!! Thank you!!! I always have special memories watching from those years.

    8. This is really great these two sporting rivals who I used to watch become great friends we need more of this in the world at the moment big respect to them 👍👌🇺🇸🇩🇪

    9. I Suppose the title should read DOPERS CORNER i honestly wonder how many races you three Gents could have won clean probably a lot more than you get credit for but we will never know will we .

    10. I really wish Lance and George had shared their best memories of Jan and his results. Though you can see the care and respect, the racing anecdotes do seem to go one way. Didn't even ask Jan what his best day on the bike was. Just an idea for next time.
