Welcome to the Halloween Special 2023!
Today, we are going on a journey to look at the hauntings and stories at five places across the UK. Who is the ghost that haunts Lamb House in Rye? Is Leith Hall one of Scotland’s most active homes? Does the ghost of a famous person haunt a theatre in the North East of England? And who is lurking in Carrickfergus Castle?

Some of the stories focus on historic events and I hope you feel that my video covers the sad side of history in a respectful and honest way, without the need for sensationalising the past. Please stay tuned to the end to hear a small post script from me, Nicola, where I’ll share some thoughts on the Carry On film stars including some excerpts from The Kenneth Williams Diaries.

    1. About your cat- so sorry for your loss. It broke my heart to lose my cat too. When I lost him, I privately asked him if he could just visit me one more time. The next day, my son said he had seen a cat walk through his room just as he was waking up. This had been my room, originally. My son knew nothing about my request to my cat. X

    2. Sorry to hear about your cat, I never was a cat lover until I got two kittens when I moved to my current parish in 2005. Both have passed on, and I've got a lovely tabby called Todd, who purrs and cuddles constantly. The photo that showed the writer, Benson, shows his brother Robert Hugh, who caused a scandal by converting to the Catholic faith as an Anglican cleric. He was later ordained a catholic priest and became a Monsignor. Why the scandal? His father was the Archbishop of Canterbury!!!!! Regarding the cat situation, get another one far superior to dogs!

    3. SO SORRY to hear about your cat. We have lost seven cats over the years and the loss still hurts. We understand your pain and hope that it will ease with time.
VERY impressed with your ghost stories. Thank you for sharing them.

    4. Hi Nicky, Thanks for another brilliant video, this was one of the best ones, the story about Sid James and Les Dawson was amazing, crazy! You should do that story about Les Dawson haunting the theatre in Liverpool, sorry to hear about your cat, very sad, always hard to let a pet go, especially if you have them along time. Good to hear you enjoyed the dogs company, take care and keep up the fantasti videos! Val in Ireland.

    5. So sad to hear about the passing of a much loved feline, also thanks for the really interesting and diverse content of your fascinating paranormal accounts. I have also read the Kenny Williams diaries and can't recommend them enough.

    6. I was on a different phone when I last sent you a comment so hopefully you will remember who I am.
So sorry for the loss of your Fur Child.
I call Cats, Dogs, Horses and other animals Fur Children.
I got that from my late Fiance.
      Anyway I had nine Cats.
      I lost them all.
You will obviously have more in your lifetime.
      Excellent read as always.
Wish you well and of course your loved one will always be with you.

    7. Hey thanks for a good halloween video it was good😊. Anyway would like to see Manchester on this list as have mentioned before in a comment. Manchester has a high volume of ghosts I could mention bolton being on of them 😊

    8. I didn’t catch your video on Halloween, but any time is a good time for a video from Nicola and Ghost Casebook. Nothing like a good ghost tale told with a British accent. 🥰

    9. So sorry to hear about your kitty. We love our fur babies and we get so attached to them, it’s just as painful as losing a human member of our family.

    10. Thank you once again Nicola for your wonderful Halloween post. Your dedication to research is phenomenal. Completely enjoyed this.
Saddened by your loss of Col Mooncat. May he Rest in Peace and tranquillity.
      ❤️❤️👻👻🎃

    11. The images chosen for this vid create the perfect visual for the well written story.
New sub! Looking forward to exploring your channel. Very sorry to hear about your kitty. Hi 👋🏻 from SW Missouri.

    12. I met Kenneth Williams in Harrods of all places on a school trip when I was 13. I heard his famous "oh no" before I saw him. I was over awed by his presence and nervously said "Hello Mr Williams" he instantly replied "oo a little Scottish Lassie in London, how very quaint" He was absolutely charming and I loved him ever since. So, so sorry to hear about your cat. My cat Hugo is my life now. I have been left extremely disabled by Covid (Emphysema, COPD and atrial fibrillation) I can no longer work and Hugo just makes everything better….sending you much love

    13. I'm sorry to hear about your cat's passing through The Pearly Crates. 😔 I missed it the first time I watched this video. Thank you for including her photo and that of your friend's hilarious little dog. I hope he, your friends and family, and your many grateful and enthralled viewers bring you some comfort during this difficult time. 🐾❤🐾

    14. must be the most soothing horror i have ever watched/listened to? curled up under a blanket on a cold November evening. Fantastic, many thanks, new sub🎃

    15. Always enjoy your videos!
      Keep 'em coming! 👍🏻👌🏻👏🏻
I'm terribly sorry about beautiful cat!
My parents had cat who died of old age in my arms….never gets any easier as I very much love cats and dogs, hard not to growing up with them!

    16. I am so sorry to hear of your fur-baby’s passing. That’s a large void to fill, especially difficult when they live to 20. My JJ lived to be almost 19. That’s like raising a child to adulthood. The little puppy that you took for a walk is so cute. I’m glad he’s somewhat easing the pain in your heart.
I love this video very much. It’s difficult to find other people that like the macabre like me. My friends call me the death hag. I’m fascinated by the same things, so this channel is a specially nice treat.
I will check out your sister channel. Thanks so much for another great video.

    17. so sorry to hear about you losing your cat. I was devastated when I lost mine so I know how awful it feels. I hope another cat crosses your path soon. if you have a loving home to give the universe has a way of bringing new animal friends into our lives.
really fascinating video & I agree Les Dawson was such a down to earth person he wouldn't have made that ghostly encounter up. I remember reading that the out of tune piano playing Les Dawson was famous for is actually very difficult. he must have had great musical talent to mess the music up like that but have it seem so natural.
I'm nearly 53 & it's staggering to me how many famous people I clearly remember from my childhood that qre sadly departed.

    18. Only just got to watch your Halloween special, was looking forward to watching it on Halloween but life got in the way 🙄 Brilliant episode really enjoyed it. I've heard of Vesta Tilley glad she's still enjoying the theatre. I thought Sid James might have been a friendly ghost but perhaps not! Kenneth Williams was my favourite too. I'll give the diaries a listen. Very cool postcards the second one was creepy. I kept looking and even saying hello to my cat for months, still expect him to be there now and then even now. I know how it feels. Beautiful picture of Moonie. Glad you having a little comfort from having walks with your friends dog. Looking forward to your next video Nicola 👻
