I ordered a Domane AL 4 Gen 4 for my daughter on Oct 9 and one day later decided to order an AL 5 Gen 4 to replace a TREK Procaliber 9.6 that is the bike I Have on my TACX NEO 2T trainer for Zwift and when ordered the ETA was March 7 of 2024 which was fine with me. To my surprise, the store manager called me yesterday to let me know that both bikes were ready for pickup. So today I went with my daughter and we got the bikes.
I just came back from a short 13 miles ride and to my surprise, this bike performance is very close to my 2 months old TREK Domane SL 7 Gen 4. Comfort wise the SL 7 is for sure better but not by much, honestly. The AL 5 Gen 4 is definitely a very nice bike to have.

It’s a sweet ride but man, that fork is just… off. I don’t know who gave the thumbs up to the forks on these new AL checkpoints and domanes but woof, not a fan. Really hope most people are like you and seem unfazed.
