The bad weather took a day off, so Darco and I took the train from Pontresina up to Ospizio Bernina and descended the “Bernina Express” mountain biking route into Poschiavo, an Italian-speaking region of Switzerland.

    It was killer!

    1. They are doing it right over there. No doubt. Great amenities. Fantastic trails. Views upon views. We have GOT to get some more of this kind of thing going in the USA.

    2. I used rock & roll , before I discovered Boeshield T-9…just apply it the night before. dries like wax , absolutely no mess , wonderful stuff. nice work as always Brian !!

    3. Nuggets by far the best trail Darco took you on, i am with you I love soft dirt trails like that. Many around Southern Ontario that I enjoy riding. Isn't mother nature awsome those drainage vortex holes are amazing.

    4. I know this video is quit old and i dont mtb but am wanting to get into it now moving to somewhere that has local trails but i have a luckybrand jacket that is great for wet, mushy, gross conditions

    5. Hi Brian, You have inspired my wife and I to go to Switzerland and ride these trails. I'm planning to go July 22-28 this year. I think I'll stay at the Hotel Palu like you did and I'm curious if you have tips/recommendations for me? It looks like there are 4 or 5 good trails between St Moritz and Bernina. Would you recommend staying a few days in a different town? Did you work with a travel agent? Tour guide? Thanks, Great Videos!

    6. Hey Brian best MTB jacket you will ever get for wet riding is the Endura Mt500 i have one and it is awesome, check out the reviews but in the Uk this is a 3 season jacket

    7. I really love to watch your videos. I’ve ridden in Switzerland, and I highly recommend that you buy the Rega insurance. It’s pretty cheap for a year and if something happens to you they’ll chopper you out at no charge. Well worth it. I had it for 3 years and fortunately never used it. But I believe that if they have to medivac you out of the Swiss mountains they’ll gladly do it but the bill will come. Look into it, it’s good summer or winter. Hope you get to someday do the ride from Engelberg to Melchsee-Frutt, I think you would love it. Take the train from Lucerne to Engelberg. Ride over the mountains Melchsee-Frutt. There you have to take the bus down to the train station or ride the road, I would not recommend the road. There might be a trail all the way to the bottom, but I don’t know about it. Stay safe! I don’t travel to Switzerland any more but look it up Rega.ch.
