    1. While the junk produced by "Kaws" is pretty bad (Pastiche art for people with money) and the Rococo period was / is 'grandma fancy'; most of the works by Jacques-Louis David were just propaganda pieces that were produced more for the peasants to see grand pictures of Napoleon and notable scenes that reflected the ideals of the revolution,, and figures of the French revolution .Most of his paintings were actually rather bland in my opinion. (Except I do adore some of the grand portraits of Napoleon). But – ***********************************************************************************
Really? "Bauhaus Furniture is as meaningless as the Rococo" movement? The sheer brilliance of the Bauhaus has absolutely no connection to (the rococo).

Art is not measured by whether it looks like a photograph or whether it represents people in society. It is measured by how it looks on a wall in a house or museum and it's emotional reaction. If a bunch of people want something scarce the price is going to go up.
Speaking of rich, elite, decadent people who have nothing to do, you obviously must be a member whilst you keep making these videos about art that you know absolutely nothing about just because you are bored and want attention.
Go back and take some art classes. (Or file a lawsuit against the school where you received your Masters of Fine Arts degree).

By the way (secret) – photography was invented in the nineteenth century – heavily devaluing realism in painting and art in general. It has nothing to do with commerce, or capitalism. Mark Rothko and Gerhard Richter did not set out to make a fortune. They were / are just doing their art.

P.S. take some art history classes or something.

    2. Well art is an amalgamation of people being a product of their environment. What’s important about that is that is that it’s people being a product of their environment, meaning their perception of the world around them. There’s thousands of variables that can influence their view of the world around them, most notably being media. I’m quite sure that seeing conflict that occurs across the world doesn’t mean that western society is on the brink of collapse, and so on.

    3. Capitalism eats meaning. Fake woke upper middle-class skateboarders pretending to make social commentary with vapid BS graffiti and throwaway cartoon characters. All copying eachother with some dumbass meaningless one or two sylable tag handle like 'Virtue' or 'Signal'. Sheep in wolves clothing.

    4. The woman in the painting in the swing shown while saying "Rococo means nothing" actually has a ton of subtle details and secret meanings.
      The irony, lmao

    5. This right wing pseudo intellectual spews contrarian nonsense as if it’s profound. Never trust anyone who tells you that any type of art is indicative of the collapse of civilization. He is clever only insofar that his fascist ideas are coded in a way to not be obvious. Peel back the layers of his critique and you’ve got proud boy version of Susan Sontag.

    6. You lack of understanding about art movement in their context is infuriating, the willful ignorace to say neoclassism was a popular movement aginst the french aristocracy when it was made and supported by the french academy is astonishing, not to mention the other art movements

    7. I hope yr watching Brad Tromels videos bc u r basically conveying the same idea but more for the masses even down to the song choices
