    A Scenic Tyrolean Gravel Biking Adventure



    Who are we, and where are we? That’s a question worth asking. As Ladin people, we have deep ties to our territory, with Tyrolean roots dating back to the 12th century. Subsequently, it endured the rule of the Habsburg Empire (Austria) and the tumultuous times of the Napoleonic wars. Suddenly, this land was annexed to Bavaria (Germany).

    Fast forward to the present, after World War I, Tyrol was divided, with South Tyrol annexed to Italy, while North and Osttyrol remained Austrian. Interestingly, this territory was sought by Italy mainly as wartime compensation, specifically for the exploitation of rivers and the construction of reservoirs for the production of electricity, serving the industrial areas in northern Italy.

    When you ask a local about their identity, you’ll often get diverse answers based on their ancestral background. But amidst the complex history, we want to show you a remarkable area of North South Tyrol and Osttyrol on our gravel bikes. This is a long ride that begins in Badia, but every kilometer on a gravel bike is worth it, especially on a sunny day.

      Traumhaft. Bin dieses Jahr im Sommer mit dem Gravelbike über die Birnlücke gekommen und dann die Strecke entgegengesetzt gefahren. Im Herbst hat es auch eine ganz besondere Stimmung.👌

      A parte un pò di mocio sui baffi ("da leccare per bere qualcosa" impagabile) ma lei è come gli Esquimesi, non suda mai? Zuperman, ghell?! Bellissimo giro e buone gambe, io purtroppo sudo troppo e nelle stagioni piu fresche o fredde questo mi penalizza molto. Il Franz, uomo di poche parole ma tanta gamba. 
      PS dopo la pasta e fagioli , i kaiserschmarren sono il mio piatto unico preferito, senza zucchero però

      Gran bel giro. Fatto un paio di volte, ma in senso contrario, da Riva ad Anterselva e Brunico. Una volta con tanta neve al Passo di Gola. La valle austriaca del Klammjoch la chiamano "il piccolo Tibet" ed è effettivamente bellissima. Voglio provare a farla nel senso fatto da voi e soprattutto provare la variante da Riva che avete fatto, se riesco a individuarla. Sempre belle dritte dai tuoi giri, grazie.

      Quando cammino in montagna, soprattutto in val Badia, mi accorgo che senza volere anche se stanco e con il cuore in gola dalla fatica, sorrido.
      Beh mi accorgo di sorridere anche guardando i vostri video, in qualche modo per 10,15 o 20 minuti sorrido.

      Bellissimo giro in posti a me sconosciuti ma anch'essi bellissimi (grazie per avermeli fatto conoscere)! Per più di 150 km con salite anche ripidissime e fondo stradale di tutti i tipi, anche i peggiori, ci vuole un fisico bestiale! Complimenti anche per la splendida qualità del video.

      What do you think, is crowded in early July (starting near Brunico, to avoid road from Badia)?
