This video charts the progress of a 7 and a half year old girl learning to ride a bike from scratch. Her fear of falling had put her off trying, so her parents turned to me at https://soundcycling.co.uk for help.

I took her through the stages of my method, which builds skills and generates confidence bit by bit. Annabelle progressed quickly and after just 2 lessons was able to start, pedal, steer and stop with control, She has also started to change gear while riding. There is still finetuning to do but the foundation is there. Now family cycle rides are on the cards!

From Annabelle’s dad’s review on Facebook: “Eleanor was patient, and calm, which is just what Annabelle needed.” See full review

Don’t give up if you have not yet learnt to ride a bike! People of any age can learn, given a reliable method, encouragement and feedback. There is a lot more to riding a bike than most people who have done it for ages can imagine.
