Hello Chris. I thought you were heading north so I was kind of surprised you didn't stay on the path along the Lech. Next trip you need a bicycle. I did a few myself but the longest one I did was 1500 km. Avoiding main roads as much as possible. Walking along some of this roads must be terrifying. You will be so released once you finally reach home.
