Back on the roads again! This is my first muulti-day tour of 2020. The aim of this tour is to try to complete the Vindel River Trail that I started last year, but had to quit on the third day due to heavy rain. I start by the coast of the Bothnian Bay and start making my way up toward the Vindel River. And since this is the week before the summer solstice the sun is pretty much up the whole night, which allows for Bike Touring under the Midnight Sun.

  1. Happy Midsommer. Must be good to be out in the wilds again. 100k on those roads is good going, I’m surprised you still had teeth left in your head. The way you timed the intro music was very professional. Can’t wait for the next instalment. Tack Ed

  2. I had no idea you could get tortillas in Sweden. Good to know. When I moved to Wisconsin, I was afraid I would have to use Lefse for burritos. Tortillas were available–but not as fresh.

  3. 0:17 Svenska hëstar! Get off work, ride over 60 miles, it's still light! Kind of cool. Right now it stays light in Boise until 10 pm or so because our location actually protrudes into the Pacific time zone a bit. Nice for mountain biking. Oh, the mosquitoes! Reminds me of summer camp in Minnesota.

  4. Sat home in Yorkshire, Mike appreciating your wonderful Swedish scenery and sunsets. Looking forward to your next episode in your adventure. Take care and keep smiling.

  7. I’ve been watching all of your videos and have really enjoyed following you on your travels in northern Sweden. You are very lucky to live in such a stunningly beautiful country and to be able to tour and share it with us. Excellent choice of music too, Mike. Thank you. I’m looking forward to more videos.

  9. Men, thanks for the time off… I’ve left her at home with all the kids and she’s picking me up after I’ve finished my galavanting 😂😂😂

  10. Sorry if this is a silly question, but do you have any concerns about wild animals when you're biking around up there? I know that you have moose, bears, and so forth.
