Three years ago, I mapped a route out in the far Arctic north. You literally cycle the last roads in the Western world. And these are no ordinary roads. Wild reindeer, geological wonders, and a wind-swept environment that only the edge of the world can offer. The only problem is it’s a long way to go and finding that excuse can be difficult. That is, until an unexpected opportunity presented itself in August 2023. This is the Arctic East 700 – the route thousands of people will cycle in 20 years.

    1. Great video. I drove to Vardø and Hamningberg two years ago and that area is really stunning. I didn't have that good luck with the weather like you, but I also saw the sun momentarily.

    2. It's hard to overstate how hard Hans hit us. It paralyzed traffic in large parts of the country, caused landslides, flooding, and destroyed infrastructure like bridges and even dams. At the very least it converted some climate change deniers, but at the same time, I know it's just the beginning. Wilder and wetter weather events and (worst of all) more unpredictable weather and seasons are going to be the norm, with terrible consequences to infrastructure, the farming industry, houses, nature, and people. We are on the path to Climate H*ll.

    3. Strava sucks, it only shows a small fractions of riders who ride there! In total it may by 13 who there 😂😂😂! Can i plan a Route with the help of Cycle Norway, so i can make a unsuportet Trip with no or little mishaps like like Climbs over 25% or dangerous Tunnels?
And is it possible to make a Guided Group Ride of a few days in Norway from a Base Camp just for Sneak Peak?

    4. Possibly the best cycling channel on YouTube without a shadow of a doubt it just does not fail to impress such an amazing channel 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🚴🏻‍♂️🚴🏻‍♂️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
