    1. I don't think so bicycles companies make much R & D & efforts on making cycles more than Motorbike companies ..& in India i can can buy Royal Enfield motorbike in price range of cycle…so this is just a loot from bicycles companies….

    2. Shaving 3 grams off your frame nowadays costs you another $1000. That said, right now you can get a Cannondale Synapse Sora for $920 US. It has disc brakes, indexed shifting, etc… and unless you’re a TDF rider, it would suit your road needs just fine. So the complaints about bikes being over-priced are ridiculous.

    3. So what happened to the idea that the UK ws going to create a network of cycling routes in cities and around the country? This would be an amazing idea – relatively flat cycle routes that are wide, maintained and used by people to travel far more than they presently do.

    4. Hey GCN. It's time for a IGH smackdown with a high end Rohloff14 tour bike against a Pinion C.12, never mind the load stuff.
Get your race guys to really put these to the test on a medium hilly course, 20 or 30 miles.

    5. The bike industry keeps trying to shove expensive bikes and accessories down our throats, and finally, people are waking up voting by keeping their wallets closed.

All one has to do is look back at the history of the TDF from 1963 to 2022 and you'll learn that the average speed has only gone up by 3 mph, while the average miles raced has gone down by 500 miles. What that all means is that all this expensive stuff isn't working, the reason the average speed went up is due to the riders riding fewer miles and they are not as tired. So why are we insisting on buying very expensive bikes? Because it was all about bogus marketing, the same bogus marketing they did with the game of golf, go out and spend $2,000 just for one club, times that by 14 and your game will improve, and here's all the scientific mumbo jumbo to prove it…except those clubs didn't work, and in fact the greatest game in golfing history was played in 1913! Nor are these expensive bikes, electronic shifting, and wheels working either.

    6. I pay for the fun-factor, not the bike itself. And if I can get the same fun factor with a $1,500 mountain bike as I would on a $6,000 bike (or even more)….well that's a pretty easy choice. The $1,500 bike I ride now is about 20x better than than the "high end bike" I used to ride in the early 1990's so I have a little older base of experience, which thankfully saves me thousands $$$. I think the bike industry has completely ignored the importance of fun factor in consumer decision making when pricing their products. Maybe it's just, me but for the life of me I can't tell much difference between a Rock Shock Recon and a Fox 36 – and that's a good thing.

    7. I was looking maybe to upgrade my bike but when I saw the prices I said to myself, "I'm happy with my $1500 Aluminum bike that is more than 10 years old." It's built like a tank but still light enough for the hills. I have thousands of miles in it. Plus, when it comes to it, it's your level of commitment to be in bike shape and weight than the actual bike itself.

    8. Bye. Big names bankrupt new and innovative companies would rise. Brand loyalty is stupid .I've been into bicycling for 25 years The price been more ridiculous than it ever be. Espically for road bikes . Barely any tech vs mountain bike but bike prices are more than mountain bikes

    9. Really informative show. Prices will inevitably have to come down, with slowed demand. My 1976 Mercian road bike with Campag groupset, would be too expensive to buy new at today's prices. The most important thing is that we get MORE people out on bikes (yes, e-bikes too). Love the channel. Keep up the good work!!😎
