Cycling Around Finland – For Clean And Safe Water

In 18.6.2018 i make one of my biggest dream come true. I cycled around Finland with Fatbike. In same trip i did go to the Norway, northern Place in continental Europe, Nordkapp. After that cycled back to Finland, city of Kemijärvi. Due of external reasons I had to end my trip and return by train to Tampere. The journey began on 18.6.2018 and ended 20.7.2018, kilometers reached 2771.

The purpose of the trip was not just to drive around Finland, but also to remind people of clean water and the protection of waters. In Finland and other Nordic countries, it may be difficult to always remember how Limited clean water is. Imagine that only 2.5% of all the world’s water is fresh, drinkable water. Water, the foundation of our life, our raw materials, which will end in the next couple of generations if the problem is not understood or endured. In the future, most of the grandchildren of the people will suffer from water scarcity unless the waste and pollution of the water comes to an end.

That’s why I created The Water Project organization for my own fundraising for clean water.

The Water Project is a non-profit organization that has been doing reliable water projects for sub-Saharan Africa communities for ten years now. The Water Project organization helps communities that suffer from lack of clean water by providing training, expertise and financial support for the construction of water projects.

18.6.2018 toteutin yhden suurimmista unelmistani, poljin fatbikella Suomen ympäri. Matka ei kulkenut pelkästään Suomen maaperällä vaan koukkasin myös Ruotsiin sekä pohjoisimpaan paikkaan mihin manner-Euroopassa maanteitse pääsee, Norjan Nordkappiin, Jäämeren rannalle. Nordkapista poljin vielä Kemijärvelle, josta ulkopuolisten syiden takia jouduin lopettamaan matkani ja palaamaan junalla Tampereelle. Matka alkoi 18.6 ja päättyi 20.7, kilometrejä kertyi 2771.

Matkan tarkoituksena ei ollut pelkästään pyörämatka Suomen ympäri, vaan myös tempauksellani muistuttaa ihmisiä puhtaan veden käytöstä, vesien suojelusta sekä saasteettomamman liikkumisen ja puolesta. Suomessa ja muissa pohjoismaissa puhtaan veden rajallisuutta voi olla vaikea aina muistaa. Vesi, elämämme perusta, raaka-aineistamme ensimmäinen, joka tulee kuitenkin loppumaan jo parin seuraavan sukupolven aikana, mikäli ongelmaa ei ymmärretä tai siihen tartuta. Matkallani siistin myös järvien ympäristöjä.
