Your questions about bicycle touring in Spain answered. GPX-links for all 7 days in the description.
Tack Mike, another great video, can't wait to see your commute in the snow. I see you have lots of snow at the moment.
Great video – as always. And thanks for the good answers to the questions.
Good Q&A Mikael , I tried checking the gpx files but was getting an error don't have access to this page ? some great tips and look forward to your next trip. atb Dave..
Great video Mikael. Very informative.
Great Info Awesome Trip. Woodstove looks warm and Nice.
If I could like this a lot more than once I would, lots and lots. This is a fantastic review of your Spanish tour, simply the best of any tour I have watched as good as the BTP. Really like your format, presentation, observations and dry sense of humour. Thank you for taking the time to make this review and of course your tours, and for answering mine and other questions so fully. Yeah! So using ANY stove let alone making a fire would be totally out of the question when you've found a suitable spot to wild camp? I am thinking of going to Spain in April for a couple of weeks before it becomes too hot. Thinking about the Basque country and the Picos de Europa regions.
Thanks again.
I’m looking forward to it, Mikael.
Great job Mikael! Really enjoyed it.
Thank you Mikael. ..appreciate the effort you put into your videos, very thoughtful. …thanks!
Very interesting video, and thank you for answering my questions! Looking forward to your cold and snowy commute video, although I don't envy you riding in those temperatures.
Hi Mikael are you coming to Canada to bike?I would like to meet you,I live near Toronto Canada.
I live in Mississauga Canada
It`s a great name right? My city is Mississauga Ontario so I could meet you in my city then we can go for a bike ride around the city and go to our farmers market I can show you bike collection too.
Nice wrap-up for the tour videos. Look forward to 2019 tour videos.
Great video Mikael, I think I may have said this before via Darren's channel but I always use cycle.travel to plan routes, their routing algorithm is as the site name suggests geared towards cycle routes and they have just added more countries including your 'neck of the woods' and also more eastern European countries as well, I just cannot praise the site enough. On the subject of routes do you have gpx routes of the ride you did with Darren in the Czech Republic?. Thanks
Thanks for all this great information Mikael..by the way I used my sony hdr as200v camera for the first time and put it on youtube I filmed my bike ride along the new safer cycle lanes on Oxford road and into Manchester city centre..i set camera quality to 1080p but I realised that youtube seemed to compress to 720p
I have plans to visit Sweden in 2020, maybe by bike. And I certainly plan to visit you in person. Greetings from Brazil!
Updated (and working!) links to the GPX-files in the description.
I have enjoyed watching your Catalonia tour. Your CTC bag for packing your bike for the flight is a really good idea.
When cycle touring in Spain the best advice I can give is follow a Camino route. No need for camping or cooking equipment. Accommodation is very affordable and nice albergue. And lastly the routes are mostly very well sign posted. You can also include Portugal in this too! Forgot to say menu de dia found all over Spain, which is a 3 course meal and a bottle of wine, for usually €10.
Hello Mike, can I ask you, if you have experience with trains in Spain? We are planning trip from Barcelona to Sevilla in autumn 2023. We would like to arrive to Barca with the car, leave the car in Barca and go along seacoast to south. We want to travel back with train, but dont know how is it with this possibility there? Thanks a lot. Jan from Czech Republic
Good day to you!
