    1. Regarding all of the "unprotected bicycling", this is how I see it: If you can't handle being 1M away from traffic, then don't go to any big city. That's simply how it is 😀

    2. Funny to see a video recorded in an area of 1000-2000 m2, many angles of the same street, and then letting that be “cycling in Copenhagen” 😂. CPH is a biiiit bigger than absolute city center only, where the bike lanes have to fit into a very old and already constructed city.
Thank good that the bicycles haven’t taking over and that cars can be there as well. Not everybody bikes 😉. (Even though 1,5 million km are driven every weekday in Copenhagen by the 610.000 inhabitants of Copenhagen on their approx 680.000 bikes)

    3. Interesting twist. What makes good bicycle infrastructure? How do we meassure it. Clearly more fatal accidents in Amsterdam than Copenhagen per cyclist – by a margin. Hmmm. Better or worse to be cycling there?

    4. Wow, each bike equals one car less on the streets and in the parking. Having all those bikers in cars would turn into nightmare traffic. Well done, Denmark!

    5. I can always appreciate a good old pissing competition between the Dutch and the Danes, like the one that I expect to find in this comment section. I'll take a deep breath….
      Here we go!

    6. It is like that because its a small city, in my land,
cities are so big! If u get a bike, it would take you like 3 or 4 ahours to arrive to your job. Plus struggling with the chaos trafic… Im talikng about Lima, in Peru 😭

    7. Funny how Copenhagen constantly claims to be the cycling city in the world as we all know Copenhagen is not even close to any of the cities in the Netherlands.
If you want a cycling experience, visit Amsterdam or Utrecht for a true adventure

    8. This video is weird, it's like that fake news you hear so much about 😀 All examples that are the absolute most extreme cases. Like showing a video of Times Square and saying all places in New York are completely crowded 😀

Also, some examples are just wrong or irrelevant. Nobody cares about indoor cycling parking, we have open garages in our backyards and basements for parking in almost every building, and we don't cycle in the pedestrian lane to protect ourselves, but to save time and cut corners, which is illegal, but still done sometimes haha 😀 The bumpy roads dude, that's unavoidable when we cycle in every street in the city, in a city that is 1000+ years old. Danes don't care, we know how to handle. I think you misunderstood the asphalt blobs, they are for handicapped people etc. We don't cycle on the sidewalk, come on 😀

Taking a shot of Nørreport station, the busiest 100×100 meters in Denmark, dude come on 😀 And that 'oh look, a black person cycling' shot paired with speech on 'good to see different backgrounds' hahaha best part.

The bridge design is stupid and I agree with the final remark but I don't think Danes in general consider Copenhagen to be paradise for cycling, we just think it is a superior way of transportation in the city, and we are trying our best to make it easy and approachable for everyone, but foreigners don't feel safe, because they are not used to this from childhood, and that is a problem, also for the Danes because when you don't feel safe, you become unpredictable, which is a big problem in a tight cycling lane.

If we could start over, and plan the whole city from scratch, I am sure we would do it in another way 🙂

    9. I wish I could ride my bike to work here in the US. It is only about 5 miles but there are no bike lanes and little to no shoulder on the road to get there. Once I get to the airport where I work, there are 2 tunnels, one that goes under a runway and the other one that goes under a taxi way. There are signs at the entrance of these tunnels that ban the use to bikes through them.

    10. I’m just visiting Copenhagen on a weekend trip. Not sure how the visit Copenhagen website says it’s the best city in the world for cycling. Compared to the Netherlands it’s way behind

    11. "When so many people cycle in your city you're obviously doing something right" haha more like public transport is so expensive in Copenhagen you have no choice but to cycle

    12. May be a lot of people in city councils take Copenhagen as the example because it is easier to sell to the politicians. There are a lot of space for cars etc. So it is a good middle ground if Dutch levels are too inconceivable for a car-brained society.

    13. Hah, our Dutchman is a little envious or wanting to take away the popularity of cycling in Copenhagen? Have never seen that many small and insignificant criticism of cycling in that city as in this video. And that last comment – simply the best 😂 Hope he's happy now.

    14. most of these look like an expedient patchwork to turn old street designs to be retrofitted quickly and cheaply to be bicycle friendlier.

    15. infrastructure for cycling looks disappointing I am surprised people still use it…….I have seen better cycle lanes in Bogota Colombia

    16. Denmark is no Netherlands. And it's certainly not bike-friendly. Especially around traficlights and crossings. It's overrated to call Denmark a paradise for bicycles
