What bike would you choose for a hill climb? 🚲⛰
Ditch the disc brakes why do you need them on a hill climb bike why do you need them on a road bike full stop. Only an idiot would use them on a hill climb you could save even more weight. someone has got a bike down to 4kg with rim brakes I know which one I’d use
They were poking fun at him for his fondness of curly handlebar stuff over on GMBN, so it's cool to see Owen here
Not the Enterprise, registration is the USS Hood
Question: who needs brakes on the Struggle ?
Carbon saddle is way more comfortable than gel, I'm looking to remove padding in my cycle shorts too
I have never seen 23 tubs, I use 22 tubs for commuting
well you would be faster by going downhill than uphill
And the disc brake bike won. Wonder how many people are crying now…
Is that a wig?
Awesome video and presentation for a weight weenie viewer, the Planet X and Time Alp d Heuz are super.Safe riding.💯🚴♀️
Excellent presenter!
a carbon saddle isnt as bad as you might think
Hmmm… does Owen have extensive experience as a presenter, or is he simply a natural at this???…
Owen has Matt Stephens's hair kind of vibe. Could he be the new "The Wig"?
Wonder why he left the FD mount on, that was really bothering me lol
I'm also keeping a Cannondale Caad12 with sram red/force22 for hillclimbs or a PRs. Weight is 6.8kg with clincher carbon wheels, as my frame itself weighs just 1070g in size 54 and fork if i correctly remember 340g it is very competitive to many carbon bikes out there. For general riding it feels too stiff though, as i got used to a bmc teammachine.
I understand it's part of the cyclist's outfit, but if every gram counts, going uphill, on a day like that, you don't need sunglasses, you don't need gloves, unless you are afraid of loss of traction
why are budget friendly climbing bikes better looking then modern proprietary aero bricks??
Bullshit claims – those bikes will be as fast as your power and someone on much havier will be faster.
https://youtu.be/S39O4AI32uI?t=243 they cut some teeth on the rear cassette….. wtf
