I return to Serbia for a few days and decide to do another exploration of the capital. I stay at the infamous Hotel Yugoslavia where Mr Bald and I were staying, just prior to both of us getting Covid. In this video I check out the progress of Belgrade Waterfront, check out the Belgrade street food, and admire the handiwork of Serbian street artists.

My father was from Yugoslavia do people speak Romanian. I want to visit someday but my parents never thought me Serbian.
Have you ever considered that you might be imprisoned on false pretenses in Russia and used as a bargaining chip for something? You have to think that there will be more interest in your border crossing than in the past, right?

The statue you passed at 20:40 was dedicated to the great Serbian writer Borislav Pekić, who has lived and worked in London for many years. I recommend that you read his novels Rabies and How to Quiet the Vampire. You'll thank me later

Great to hear the end of rstrictions I'll visit Belgrade when they end the need for a test to enter the country, I'd appreciate if anyone can let me know when that happens. I live in Belgrade now, it's always interesting to learn something new about the city.
23:33 Azerbaijan goverment paid for the renovation of the Tasmajdan park (I believe it was 2m euroes at that time), that's why their flag and sculpture. Its a part of their policy for promoting Azerbaijan accross the world, they did those kind of things in many countries.

Wow! It's so sunny there! And the grass is green! And in Siberia everything is covered with snow now.
That hotel carpet and the light fixtures were the highlight of my day. I’m planning some kind of Eastern European adventure this summer but that depends on current events of course. Keep us updated on SPB. Safe travels.
