UK ROAD CYCLING | THE PEAK DISTRICT (PT1) – THE MONSAL TRAIL

Another weekend of rod cycling and training for the Dragon Ride made super palatable with a road trip. This time, we are off to the absolutely stunning Peak District, with a beautiful stay in the loveliest local Air BnB – which I do a mini tour of. On Day 1 of riding, we enjoy discovering the Monsal trail and a few local lumps, surrounded by the most incredible scenery.

Short stop in a couple of cafes – unfortunately the local pub that we visited half way through the ride for a ham butty was hosting a funeral, so no filming out of respect of course. Short stop at the pub by us at the end.

90km route through Bakewell, Buxton, Matlock – nature bathing oop North. Elevation of 1500m – no Top 100 climbs today – save them for the next video 🤣
