A trip along the coast of Friesland of course starts along the Afsluitdijk. Although it is not easy for Huub and Martin to get to the other side. Fortunately, they encounter some eel fishermen who inspect their traps. They are willing to give the men a lift. The freshwater fishermen tell Huub about the influence of the dike and the permanent closure of the Zuiderzee on their work and the special existence of the eel. On the Frisian side, Huub visits Johan Pollema, who runs a fishing shop. He collects everything from the Afsluitdijk.
