  1. These 'trying to look cycle friendly' bike lanes are anything but.
They cause problems, not solve them. In theory, they keep faster traffic further out when passing cyclists. In reality, they give cyclists the erroneous idea that they somehow have a right to a clear road ahead, irrespective of anyone else.
They are a hangover from tha days when motor traffic was 'fast', and cycling 'slow'.
In today's urban environment, that situation is mostly reversed.

  2. What's the point of having these bicycle lanes if BRAINDEAD IMBECILES park the F.N cars on them. I thought it was against the law to do so. I know in some counties it is. But, in the U.K it seems the law doesn't seem to care about cyclist as much as they should do after all they are human beings. I know a lot of them have no respect for others..But, does that give the right for motorists to simply park on cycle lanes because they are TOO DAM BLOODY LAZY to walk a few extra yards. ……..Answer :-NO!!!

  3. If it wasn't for motorists the treasury would be practical empty however cars users are treated very badly when it comes to road investment

  4. I left England in 2002 to life in Germany where cycling is a pleasure. In July I'm going back to England to do a bicycle tour… What can I expect then?
