What I thought would be a quick ride to the Albanian border became a bit more difficult than expected. Montenegro is a stunning country with a diverse landscape.

    1. Good effort. Well ridden, that looked difficult, again.
But worth it for views like that. I don't think it is any coincidence that countries that are not yet over developed are the friendliest, and often the most beautiful. With less to worry about it's just the simple, important things that matter.
      They just need decent coffee!
      Ride safe, happy travels 👍

    2. Advanced Western countries have just become lazy and couldn't be bothered about herding livestock. As you said, take care of your possessions, otherwise they are not yours to claim. Same with not appreciating your country, and resources. Don't cry when, what you disregard is claimed by someone else.

    3. I'm 100% with your opinion about sheep and wolves. We have the same discussion here in the Netherlands and there are only 12 wolves living here.

What a nice ride! Keep it up! I hope your spirit has gone up since the last. ride

    4. Met a shepherd with horses down I Bosnia a few days ago. That was a bit unexpected I must admit. A bunch of horses in the middle of the road.
And I’m on your side in the Norwegian shepherd-debate.

    5. The cost of living is too high in Norway to be able to afford a shepherd. That same person could be doing something different that had a lot more economic value.

    6. in Belgium too there are problems with wolves and sheep, but the farmers receive compensation if they put a fence to protect their animals so wolves cannot kill sheep anymore.

    7. We have a similar problem here in my area of Tennessee. We have a lot of outsiders moving here and they just allow there dogs to roam free. They end up killing my chickens and ducks, along with other's in my area of the county. We are allowed to shoot any dog, or coyote, that is attacking them. I don't want to hurt someone else's dog, but I have lost far too many birds, and their eggs, to someone else's dog. I did catch one of my neighbor's dog in the act of killing one of my chickens. I told the neighbor that if I catch his dog again, I will end his dog The problem was solved. Coyotes are different, we don't need a reason to take out a coyote any time. What a beautiful place, but potentially dangerous by yourself.

    8. The shepherd said "These are dangerous dogs. It's village, mountains, mountains, shepherds, the dogs are dangerous and they will bite your leg".
