    1. Congratulations to Jumbo for winning the team classification, hard to think what they did wrong, primoz should have come, but whatever

    2. this is peanuts given the suffering/training/time/sacrifice that is required… isn't Cycling super popular in Europe??? Might as well start a go-fund-me at this rate. WTH – France needs to pony up do a better job financing their premier sports event… hoooollleeee not worth!!!

    3. In 2023, some of those numbers are seriously embarrassing. For a race that bills itself as it does, the prize money and appearance money should be a lot higher.

    4. Congratulations on beating 160 of the world's top professional cyclists by conning 20th in a 3 week race over three and a half thousand kilometres – Here's €1,000 pie tax… you should probably split it with your team

    5. Congrats on Jonas welcoming viewers to the Cycling Dane YT channel. Quite a coup! How about a video with the final tally on team fines?

    6. So, roughly $3K-7K per rider teams, then $11k-17K per rider teams, plus the $52K per rider and $83K per rider teams. Other than the top two teams, that's not much payoff for three weeks of work, especially with all the training and equipment and care and logistics invested.

Since it's a team that produces placements and protection, do most or all earners share generously with their teammates? Do some let the team owners take most of it since they're already paid well under contract, which might already include contingency bonuses?

    7. Agree that prize money is disappointingly low. Of course, their salaries are much more… thank God. Prize money, with all the countries broadcasting should be revised 10 times up…

    8. Winning the TDF he made $ 31,632.38 per day in 21 days. What a f…insult of prize money when we think about a f…fat ass golfer makes 1o times more for only walking few hours a day for ONLY a WEEK! WTF????????

    9. Where's the real money being paid to TDF riders? I'm guessing it's in the salarys being paid to riders. Also most professional athletes make the majority of their income from endorsements from advertising, which I assume is not the case for professional cyclists. They are underpaid compared to most high level professional athletes.

    10. Considering top boxers earn millions per fight. The winner should get at least 10 million. Second 2 million, third 1 million. Every stage winner should get 1 million.

    11. Daylight Robbery !For a gruelling and entertaining tour esp compared to obscene amount of money footballers get paid these days ,it’s meagre, I feel for these guys. Thanks for keeping the spirit of the sport alive , we fans acknowledge it.

    12. You guys should dig into how the ASO owns the LLC that distributes prize money and charges the riders and teams for both holding that money there and distributing it to all the parties who receive prize money.

    13. The riders salaries from the teams aren’t terrible. But for as much as the tour is televised you think they would rework the funding/sponsorship to take advantage of its popularity. In the US, if you wanted to watch it live we had to pay for peacock streaming this year. I’d be interested in seeing how much they made off of the streaming packages this year

    14. Dang! So low! Man, i wish these pro riders all earn millions annualy the way they risk their lives. They deserve to earn more over most nba players. VanVleet 40mil, Dillon Brooks 20mil, jeez these guys earn millions as chuckers.

    15. I agree, these prizes are shockingly low for world class athletes who complete a brutal endeavor. I can only imagine how paultry to TDF Femme prize money must be, sigh.

    16. The best riders in the world riding hard for 3 weeks and they maybe get a 1000 euros at the end? While bike manufacturers are charging $20k a bike. What a joke! And they risk their lives. I never thought I found something that pays less than chess lol

    17. Is this a joke? 2023 Pro's are paid like its 1970. 100's of Millions$$ flow thru cycling each year and these guys are paid less than Fast food assistant managers. Terrible. 1st place rider thru 10th should all be over 1 million .
