An overnight trip with the Brompton to explore the Sheep’s Head Peninsula in West Cork. I started this cycle at Gerahies and cycled to the lighthouse at the tip of the peninsula on the first day (24km with steep hills and passing through Ahakista & Kilcrohane). On the second day I went back in the direction of Ahakista and finished at Durras (27km and a lot easier than the first day). Even while overcast and under heavy fog on Day 2 this was still a really stunning location to visit and the cloud cleared to allow great views of the lighthouse and the form of the peninsula from high in the air with the drone. A big thanks to Stephen and Eoin for the laughs, friendship, great food and transport!

    1. Hi Miriam! It was very sad to hear such news, I wish you strength and effort to get through all the difficulties, become even stronger and win your cancer. I hope everything will be fine with you. Thank you for such wonderful videos and the openness with which you share your feelings about life. Sending my warmest regards from a Brompton owner from Ukraine.

    4. Isn’t Life so thoroughly surprising, challenging and vivid, Miriam? I’m lying in bed in a hotel in Pushkar, Rajasthan, not able to get to sleep, having been travelling through. Bhutan and India (not on my beloved Brompton!) And I’m able to watch you travelling through West Cork and feel I’m there. Others have commented about you and Susanna and the shared enthusiasm and appreciation of this Life you have despite the setbacks. I hope you feel the warmth of humanity coming your way. You get what you give. Take good care of yourself – and your Brompton.

    11. Hi Míriam, wishing you all the best. So brave to share your medical situation. I hope and wish that you have a lot of aces in your hand.❤

Amazing drone footage. Now, wouldn't it be lovely if you could train your drone to drop off and pick up your camera for the drive by shots 😉

    12. We all have to play the cards we are given as you say, but I cannot believe that we cannot shuffle our hand to our advantage as long as we have the inspiration to do so. A person as inspirational as you saves a little in reserve for herself too I hope, especially given the losses already endured. Wishing you every strength along the road. Shift down a few less teeth again but just keep on pedalling.

Lovely video, once again you show me up for thinking I know an area and revealing the hidden gems and the holes in my adventures around this island to date.

    13. Come what may along the road of health and life, might I respectfully suggest you follow the Thornton Programme, as it’s been shown to offer many tidings of joy and encouragement (and to kick the big C back where it came from). ❤

    14. What a wonderful video! And I wish you all the best in your near future. I'm not sure what the connection is between Brompton bikes and cancer but when I was diagnosed last June and started treatments my Brompton was the one bike that kept me going when I was experiencing a lot of stomach pain, and I am convinced it is a big part of what has been a positive outcome so far. And again, all the best to you and thank you so much for your inspiring videos.

    15. Miriam, so appreciate your willingness to talk to the camera about your health and wellbeing and how it has influenced your motivation to make the most of life❤ A brave and important thing to do👍 So appreciate as well you picking those cameras up again and recording you making the most of life on this particular trip👍 What a beautiful part of Ireland to explore👍 You could cycle those quiet country lanes until the cows come home🚲🐄😊 The Brompton is some all rounder. A stunning and proper coastline plunging jaggedly into the ocean. 'Lets see where this road will take us now….'👍

    16. Hi Miriam, that challenge you set yourself almost exactly two years ago, talking to camera, has certainly been a success! Brave to do that then, and now brave to share that not-so-great news with your YouTube friends (though you probably don't feel particularly courageous). More power to your elbow! And don't worry about how you'll look for camera in the future – just get well again and be you!

    17. HI Miriam What p s I do you tour on on my 16 In Schwalbe marathons. They state on the tire 110 I was told at the dealer to run them at100 psi seems a little hard to me.Sray safe always thinking about you.😎❤️🚴‍♂️👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦

    18. You bring such peace and such a spirit to life… Thank you for sharing your gift for seeing, for doing, for the caring, strength and thoughtfulness. It is easy for many to lose sight that the world can be so beautiful and you help so many to remember. May the quiet and healing still in the world find you whenever called, whenever needed. You do so amaze…

    19. Hi Miriam just watched this. Am in awe of your film making. Found your vids through watching Susanna's. Youre both very inspirational women. Your positivity and love of adventure really comes through in your vids….if only youd get a real bike😂😂 sorry😊 ive got my fingers xd for you in the coming year X

    20. Hi Miriam, I’m quite enjoying your channel. Ireland is such a wonderful place to tour by bike. In 2018 l enjoyed a eight day cycle tour beginning in Sligo and finishing in Derry.
Being a rail enthusiast l tried to follow the paths of long lost railway lines in Donegal. Another highlight was to visit Ballyshannon town square and the the statue of the late and great Rory Gallagher.
I’m very sorry to hear of your current condition. All l can say is good luck with it all and hope you reach a speedy recovery, regards Lawrence.
