It has long been understood within NATO that this military alliance does not grant membership to countries involved in military conflicts. 2008, 2014 and the current war disqualify Ukraine. Open and shut.
You need to brush up on the history between America and Russia, there are agreements against membership for Ukraine.

It's clear everyone needs to fight their own War ! Ukraine got 'support' from NATO, US, however they don't have anything in return to give thus the tag of being part of NATO is almost impossible ! I don't think a country can join NATO when the country is at war. They were asked to join NATO before they were at war, and Ukaine said no.
