Bicycle touring through Veneto we took ferries from Chioggia to Lido to then hit the mainland of Italy again and started cycling through farmlands to Orderzo.

There we were greeted by Giuseppe and Fulvia! A lovely Italian couple who had invited us for dinner earlier in the week. We stayed with them for a few nights and got super duper treated to some serious Italian hospitality, brilliant food and good conversation, these are the experiences you want when you’re on an adventure.
Next up we had a night wild camping near Udine before heading into the city and then starting to venture out to the mountains of Slovenia. The Julian Alps loomed in the distance calling us away from the butt destroying flat farmlands of Italy. We couldn’t bloody wait to start climbing!
Plus the beer is much cheaper in Slovenia.
