The 2023 UK Road Bike Time Trial National Championships were taking place in our backyard so we headed down to take a look at the weird and wonderful tech designed to tackle the 18-mile course.
Started back in 2022 to make time trialling more accessible, bikes must have either drop or flat bars, wheels are no deeper than 90mm, and they must have more than 12 spokes. There’s no disc wheels here.
Jack Luke was sniffing around the start line and in this video brings you his top 5 bikes from the day. Let us know what you think in the comments!

Which bike would you ride? I think you can guess what Jack's choice would be 😆 Let us know in the comments what you'd choose 👇👇
Is this april fools?
love these glasses! which brand?
That tandem is pure chef’s kiss.
Rim brakes for the win in 2023.
That System6 has one of best stem integration I´ve seen so far on that model. The usual Vision Metron gap has been a eye roll since its launch and the factory solution is heavy AF. Great customised Rapha edition!
Every time I see a Sturdy bike they look better and better….
Imagine spending all this money to go faster and then putting on the AbsoluteCrap Pulley Wheels xD
Great Video….would have also liked an interview with the winners…..thank you.
Love this video! Just goes to show a $2k bike with some electrical tape can basically be as fast as a new $14k TT bike!
Great to see Jack back.
gimme lol
Road bike TTs are the best. TT bikes are special, but there's something about custom mods and extreme mods for races like this
Rim Brakes for the Win and the Wind!
9:32 typical BikeRadar generalization backed-up by their in-house legendary aerodynamics physicist . . . Jack Luke!🤭🤭🤭
Very good video!
The P3 has to handle like total trash😂
Hi, good to meet you! We were aboard the Cannondale tandem. We hit 68.5 kph 42.6mph on the descent during the TT. 😊
I see Absolute Crap 💩 from one of the bikes. 😎 IYKYK
Whatever they’re paying you at BikeRadar Jack, it isn’t enough! A* presenting 😂
Nice video. I luv to watch weird bikes
Last bike shows the price arms race continues under a new set of rules 🤡
Great vid guys really enjoyed this one 😊😊😃🚴🏻🥇pete
The Sturdy rig is my FAVE. Tubeset, cockpit, TI perfection
only here on bike radar for videos with jack. you truly are a delight, good sir!
What stem is on the Cannondale
With the angle of the P3, I thought it had a 650c front wheel.
You can use flat bars? Old faithful build comes to mind.
On the Cervelo, why tape everything then leave the front mech on. So many other draggy items to improve too
Absolute cr&p cage 😂 Hanbini will be retching
