Stage 4 of the Tour of Slovenia was the mountain stage and many eyes were on the Italian National champion Filippo Zana who with his team dismantled the rest of the field however he didnt manage to take the win after a bizarre crash on the descent

You'd never want to crash like that, but having survived intact, might think it was pretty cool afterwards.
That horse got out of the way quickly when Zana did the somersault over the bars. Glad he got up quickly. … Good enough for the overall GC lead.
this was a really scary crash.. I hope Zana took a medical to check everything is in place… These last days are absolutely terrifieing on the decents .. watch out lads.
Imagine having to risk your life for a stage in the Tour of Slovenia.
Maybe I'm too old now to have the young guy mindset…but it just baffles me. I hope these guys will all stay safe…that crash was intense 😢

Now i know what one cyclist wanted to say, that "road cycling is poetry". Poetry adds wings, then a road cyclist flies 😂🤣😅 i always thought that only dirt / enduro / DH can fly. Signore Filippo Zana, welcome to the DH team, you can fly a bike, although you still have a little problem with landing 😋🤘💣💥😈☠💩

You forgot to mention, Pena had a slight mechanical issue, where he couldn't shift to the big gear on the descent and final valley road. That's why you see him pedaling like a mad man.

Zana was saved by landing on his back there otherwise it was gonna be bad. He is an amazing rider though. Its impressive that he fetched his bike (its a giant afterall) and continued as if nothing had happened. Chapeau Zana
That line that Zana took was all wrong. He’s lucky that was a grassy sloped hill with no trees or stumps. Amazing still that he didn’t appear seriously hurt. These riders are really crazy sometimes. 😮
There should have a man flag of that blind curved descent. Organizer is really not committed for safer race.
