Are we BIKEPACKING, CYCLE TOURING or BIKE TOURING?
Who knows. Who cares? Either way, this is our new favourite way to travel!

Having never really been on bikes since we were kids we came across some videos on YouTube of people bike packing and cycle touring.
Bernardo Bacalhau, Giant Cheerio, Martijn Doolaard & On Her Own by Wiebke Lühmann were our main inspirations.
So, we decided to swap vanlife, boatlife & backpacking for a new method of slow travel… CYCLING!

Our first adventure – two weeks through the heart of Europe. One week along the south of the Czech Republic. Through vineyards, wineries, rural villages and mediaeval cities. And then back through the north of Austria following the Euro 6 Danube Route along the second largest river in Europe as it meanders through some spectacular and ever changing landscapes.

Join us for Part 1 of this journey today and see how a couple of complete novices get on cycling new gravel bikes loaded up with luggage on this epic backpacking adventure.

We’ll share what it’s like for a couple of beginners cycle touring and camping day by day.

If you enjoy this video be sure to subscribe as part 2 will be coming out soon!

    1. I just started long distance cycling. Next week I'm going to ride long distance as well. I'm Thai. I use my responses to communicate with you via Google Translate. Your video is an inspiration. And it's an example for me to use when editing my videos. Have fun living life. Thank you 😊

    2. Always wanted to do this! Europe has such an incredible cycling network, and the riding pace lets you take it all in and enjoy it. Have fun guys!!

    3. From one cyclist to another it looks like hard work. If you can, go more slowly as the scenery gets more beautiful. You may only pass through that way once. Happy Anniversary to you both and have fun 😊
