Cycling the Norwegian coast in summer 2016. Then onto Denmark, The Netherlands and France! If you have any questions feel free to comment, I am not Norwegian (I’m Canadian) but would be happy to help any way I can!

  1. great trip, i'm no movie maker but from a viewing perspective some of your off bike camera pans were too quick for my eyes, slow down just a bit. Otherwise great effort on and off the bike. Did you cycle through Belgium ? one of the very best cycling countries i think. Anyway, thanks for sharing.

  2. Just a couple of simple questions – what tyres you were using? And how easy was to find a ferry when there is no other choice? Planning to do something simmilar in 2019

  3. Fantastic video thanks for uploading, I am taking my family on a road trip from UK to Helsinki and Helsinki to Nordkapp via Rovaniemi and Nordkapp back to the Uk via Bergen, Oslo, Gothenburg, Malmo, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Calais and London. Could you please share your camping and experiences on the way from Nordkapp to the Netherlands via Oslo, because we are going up north via Sweden to Nordkapp and any other advice, since we are travelling with 3 children under 8 years old, thanks

  4. Hi, Emily, maybe it's a little long in my post, I'm sorry! First of all, congratulations on the trip and the movie. I am 59 years old and I am from Brazil. I am planning to ride in Europe in the summer of 2019 alone, leaving Grenoble, France, where my son lives, to Oud Turnholt, Belgium, where my niece lives. From there, finally, pedal to NordKapp, in Norway. I need some help from you to plan my route. Did you follow Eurovelo routes or create your own itinerary? Did you camp the whole trip (in structured camp or camped by the road, is it allowed and safe? Did you use the warmshower?). What about the weather? I live in a hot region, so what kind of clothing, including sleeping bag (comfort temperature) should I take? Is it better to use bikepacking bags or the traditional pannier? Is there an internet signal along the way? Is there a need for sea crossings by boats and the need to travel by train? Is it worth returning to Oud-Turnhout by bike or otherwise? And finally, can you share your route? Thanks for the information that will consume your time. Fernando Morado / Brazil. I started pedaling for 5 months and I made two trips in Brazil, 650 km and 700 km on roads and dirt tracks, with lots of climb and loose rocks. I'll keep training until then. I'm posting a quick report on @moradopenna

  5. Thanks for this nice video (and the music) :)! It makes you want to do EuroVelo 6 ! The departure in Norway, it seems incredible at the level of the landscapes (sorry for my english level) !

  6. I went on a bikepacking trip last year to norway its hard as fuck but damn i love the nature up there and I will say a trip to the north cape is a big dream just pull the plug out and live on the road for a good amount of time

  7. Enjoyed your excellent video found researching the EuroVelo 1. I realize its a few years ago of course. How did you get to Nordkapp to start your journey? Flights and buses with bicycle in cardboard container. Wildcamping seems to be the only realistic way to spend nights on the road although this is a bit daunting to me who has always found overnight accommodation on my adventures by bike, never taking a tent!. One of your earlier replies comprehensively covers various concerns, like tunnels, ferries etc. Any particular reason you chose to start at the North Cape and then roughly follow the EV1? I'm trying to make my mind up although instinctively I would cycle in warmer countries. Kind regards. Tom

  8. Absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for sharing, Em! My wife and I visited Norway for the very first time in summer 2019 and fell in love with it! Everywhere you travel is like a perfect postcard photo! I hope to return one day to do some cycle touring and wild camping! BTW, where in France were you where you had such beautiful vistas? Cheers from Los Angeles, California, USA.
