In this video I visit the capital city of Moldova, Chisinau. This video provides a few ideas of things see, do and eat in Chisinau, Moldova. These include the Cathedral of Christs Nativity, The Triumphal Arch, Valea Morilor Park, Stephen The Great Monument, and some fantastic restaurants where I try Sarmale and Mamaliga!

I visited Moldova at a time when the Ukraine war is causing tension between Russia and Moldova. Moldova closed its airspace while I was visiting due to a Russian spy balloon flying over its airspace. Moldova has a breakaway region called Transnistria or Priednestrovie which I also visited during my time in Moldova. Checkout my previous video which shows my visit to Tirasol, the capital city of the self-proclaimed independent republic of Transnistria.

  1. 8:50 the thing is that communism and socialism are not only dictatorial systems but they are also secular, wich means they forbid the believe in any God. So during soviet times millions and millions of Christians around the ussr have been killed, imprisoned or sent to gulags. Many priests and other people who were religiously active have been executed or tortured to death in prisons. Many monasteries in Moldova have been destroyed or turned into psychiatric hospitals (a way to mock religion). Even the building in front of the cathedral (the high one) has been destroyed by the soviets and rebuild only after independence.

  2. Did you went in Moldova with airplane ?If you do can you answer if they ask your covid information in the Chisinau airport?Im going there next month it would help me if you will answer :).

  3. The video is nice and very detailed, the only disadvantage is the bad sound. Your voice almost cannot be heard, so I turn up the volume, and then bang, loud music starts playing. Same when you come out of the church at 10:30 your voice is so low, what were you saying there? You might consider reuploading the video with balanced volume.
