yikes this hurt so much to watch as an auto body hobbyist. so many missing basic steps to prevent more damage. always tape off the intended work area. the putty you used is way too heavy as you just need a light material to fill the paint gap. no automotive grade or metal adhesion needed. you want to first tape the area, sand the area. apply anti rust coasting. then apply filler. sand. paint. sand. clear coat. sand. buff. finish.
This is baaad. Mix a tiny bit of filler and press it into the scrape, using the scraper to form it to the shape of the frame, without any getting outside the area you are working on. Let it cure, then do the same thing again. This prevents you from damaging the area outside the scratch, and stops you from deforming the shape when you're sanding a massive lump of filler you've dumped onto the frame like a total amateur

Hi Rob,what colour is this? is it Specialized olive?,I need some for my Specialized Fuse Comp
No way, Hawaiian….
Try using finger nail filler and paint…wide range of colors, and the gel coat works fast and lays even….
I'd just end up using the touch up paint I found. $2 nail polish from Walmart, perfect match to my Stunpjumper's Sage Green.

When I get a scratch on my bike, I throw it away and buy a new one.
Don't be silly! Scuffs are battle scars for your bike 😊 show em off or put a band-aid on it so it heals nicely over time

what about on a carbon bike?
Can you link on the item that you used?
They have those paints available in Flat?
If corrosion is problem, just clean it and clear coat over it. Solved.
yeah ! I think that 's why it's called MTB and not Tennis. LOL Grow a pair and enjoy the gashes and chips as a testimony as you rock it out.
240 grit is not very fine

@RobRidesEMTB Hi Rob, may I ask, what is the pink paste that you mix with the filler?
