Duct tape is your best friend for what you are doing. Get a roll, wrap lengths of it around the tubing on your bike so it is easy to access and takes up no room. Use it to quickly patch holes in bags, the rips in the tent bag and all other things. Cheap and durable.
Nate, have you considered a bike trailer? It would solve your whole top heavy/constantly falling saga and give you even more long term storage? You can find some really good/tough one for $100 or so. I know it would somewhat cancel some the self-induced drama content we all love so much, but it would make you look so much smarter! 🧐
